ULi M1689 motherboards from Albatron

Albatron announced two motherboards based on the ULi M1689 single-chip solution: the K8Ultra-U and K8Ultra-U Pro. The company claims that the boards, aimed at 754-pin AMD processors, provide a variety of features with 64-bit driver support designed to the forthcoming Windows XP 64-bit Edition. The products also include BIOS overclocking options for frequency and voltage adjustments. Full specs are:

  • Dual channel DDR400 memory support
  • 2x DIMM sockets (2 GB max.)
  • 4x PCI slots
  • 1x AGP 8x slot
  • 2x Ultra DMA 133 connectors

  • Embedded 10/100 controller (Pro version only)
  • 6-channel audio (ALC655) with SPDIF In/Out
  • 8x USB2.0 ports
  • ATX form factor
