VIA released a new audio codec, called VT1708, supporting 8-channel audio (7.1 format), 100 dB signal-to-noise ratio for digital/analog conversion and 95 dB signal-to-noise ratio for analog/digital conversion, 24-bit resolution and 192 KHz sampling rate.
