Gigabyte today unveiled its first motherboard compliant with Intel’s Viiv platform. Based on the i945G Express chipset, the GA-8I945GMH (with GMA 950 on-board graphics) was developed for “low profile entertainment devices that merge with the living room environment”, according to the manufacturer. It offers 8-channel surround audio and Gigabit connectivity through Intel’s PRO/1000 PL. The mobo, aimed at Pentium D processors, bundles Norton Security and includes proprietary Shieldware features.
