Representatives of the WiMAX Forum last week said that the first certifications of products supporting the IEEE 802.16 standard will be announced at the WCA International Symposium, set to happen from January 18 to 20, in San Jose, California. The group previously expected it to happen by the end of this year. Mobile networks based on WiMAX are expected to provide up to 15 Mbps of capacity within up to three kilometers. | |
