Sony has announced that it will integrate Ageia’s physics engine in the upcoming PlayStation 3. The PhysX SDK is a library for creating in-game realistic graphics through simulation of thousands of interacting fragments. According to Ageia, its multi-threaded capability makes it a perfect fit for the Cell processor. The PS3 is expected to hit stores in May 2006.
