Gigabyte has just launched the industry's first socket AM3 motherboards featuring USB 3.0 and SATA-600 technologies. Three models were launched: GA-MA790FXT-UD5P (AMD 790FX chipset), GA-MA790XT-UD4P (AMD 790X chipset) and GA-MA770T-UD3 (AMD 770 chipset). These boards support the latest 45-nm Athlon II and Phenom II processors (HyperTransport 3.0 and built-in DDR3 memory controller), have a 10-phase voltage regulator (eight for CPU and two for memory) and support DDR3 up to 1,866 MHz (via overclocking). No word on pricing.
