AMD/ATI has unveiled its first video cards compatible with DirectX 11 API, Radeon HD 5800 series. Two models were launched: Radeon HD 5870 and HD 5850. Radeon HD 5870 works internally at 850 MHz, has 1 GB GDDR5 accessed at 4.2 GHz thru a 256-bit interface, 1,600 stream processors and a recommended price tag of USD 379. Radeon HD 5850 works internally at 725 MHz, has 1 GB GDDR5 accessed at 4 GHz thru a 256-bit interface, 1,440 stream processors and a recommended price tag of USD 259.
