ASUS Launches SATA-600 Motherboard

ASUS has just launched its first motherboard compatible with SATA-600 standard. ASUS P7P55D Premium is a socket 1156 motherboard based on Intel P55 Express chipset featuring four DDR3-2200 (overclock)/1600/1333/1066 MHz (16 GB max) sockets, two PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (if two video cards are used speed slow down to x8 in each slot), two PCI Express x1 slots, two PCI slots, six SATA-300 ports supporting RAID 0,1,5,10, one ATA-133 port controlled by JMicron JMB368 chip, two SATA-600 ports controlled by Marvell 88SE9123 chip, two Gigabit Ethernet ports controlled by Realtek 8112L/8110SC chips, two Firewire ports controlled by VIA 6308P chip, 12 USB ports (eight located on the rear panel and four available through two connectors on the motherboard), 10-channel audio (VIA VT2020 codec; 192 KHz sampling rate and 24-bit resolution), optical and coaxial SPDIF outputs, power and reset on-board buttons, a remote control for overclocking and Japanese caps. No word on pricing.
