AMD Rolls Out Athlon II X2 250 and Phenom II X2 550 BE

AMD has launched two 45-nm dual-core processors, Athlon II X2 250 and Phenom II X2 550 BE. Athlon II X2 250 works internally at 3 GHz, has an integrated DDR3 memory controller, 2 MB L2 cache, TDP of 65 W and is priced at USD 87 (1000-unit tray). Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition works internally at 3.1 GHz, has na integrated DDR3 memory controller, 1 MB L2 cache, 6 MB L3 cache and TDP of 80 W. By being a “Black Edition” model, this new processor has its clock multiplier unlocked and thus targeted to overclockers. Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition is priced at USD 102 (at 1000-units).
