Walton Chaintech has just unveiled its APOGEE GT triple-channel DDR3 memory module kits specifically for the Intel Core i7 processor and Intel X58 Express Chipset. The following kits were announced:
- APOGEE GT DDR3-1333 (PC3-10660): Works at 1,333 MHz and available in 6 GB (3 x 2 GB) kits with CL7 at 1.5 V.
- APOGEE GT DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800): Works at 1,600 MHz and available in 6 GB (3 x 2 GB) kits with 7-7-7-18 at 1.5 V.
- APOGEE GT DDR3-1866 (PC3-14400): Works at 1,866 MHz and available in 6 GB (3 x 2 GB) kits with 8-8-8-24 at 1.8 V.
- APOGEE GT DDR3-2000 (PC3-16000): Works at 2,000 MHz and available in 6 GB (3 x 2 GB) kits with 9-9-9-27 at 1.9 V.
Keep in mind that Intel says that you can only install DDR3 memories up to 1.65 V with Core i7 CPUs, above that you can damage your Core i7 CPU.
