Samsung will ship the world's first laptops with embedded MIMO-enhanced Wi-Fi technology based on Airgo's True MIMO chipset. The X20 machines will be compatible with 802.11a/b/g. MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) improves WLAN speed by using multiple antennas to transmit multiple streams of data over a single 20 MHz channel. Connection speeds can theoretically reach 108 Mb/s. There is no information yet on X20’s availability. | |
