Samsung has introduced a series of Serial ATA II hard drives: the 80 GB HD080HJ (USD 93), the 120GB HD120IJ (USD 120) and the 160GB HD160JJ (USD 150). All three feature 7,200 rpm spindle speed, 8.9 millisecond average seek time and 8 MB cache buffer. Samsung’s proprietary NoiseGuard and SilentSeek technologies promise extremely low noise levels. The Serial ATA II standard supports native 3 Gbps transfer rates and Native Command Queuing (NCQ).
