AMD has announced the addition of Phenom triple-core processor to its desktop roadmap, expected to be launched in Q1 2008. The new triple-core Phenom processors (code-name Toliman) will be based on K10 architecture and will feature HyperTransport 3.0, 512 KB of L2 cache per core and a shared L3 cache (value not disclaimed). It seems that triple-core Phenom processors are quad-core models with one disabled core. | |
