VIA unveiled three new chipsets aimed at Pentium 4 platforms: the PT880 Pro, PT894 and PT894 Pro. All of them support 1066 MHz FSB and both DDR400 and DDR2-667 memory. The PT880 Pro features the capacity of using PCI Express and AGP graphics cards alternately or simultaneously on the same motherboard through VIA's Universal Graphics Interface (UGI). The PT894 Pro, on its turn, supports dual PCI Express VGA cards through one PCI-E x16 and one PCI-E x4 connection. Both are able to connect up to four displays. The new North Bridges are to be paired with the long running VT8237 South Bridge or the forthcoming VT8251 sporting SATA II, RAID 5 and High Definition audio support.
