Nvidia introduces mobile GeForce 6200
By Rodrigo Chia on January 6, 2005 - 11:40 PM

Nvidia introduced new mobile GPUs with TurboCache technology in the GeForce Go 6200 series. The Shader 3.0 compatible chips are aimed at mainstream thin'n'light notebooks and Sony has already agreed to include them in some Vaio models. TurboCache allows the card to share – through the PCI Express interface – the capacity and bandwith of dedicated video memory and dynamically available system memory. The new GPUs also include PureVideo technology, a combination of hardware and software that provides high-definition playback of video content.
