ECS has launched a new motherboard for AMD platform, powered by AMD 770 North Bridge controller and ATI SB600 South Bridge controller. It provides support for Athlon and Sempron family processors, including the latest AMD Phenom processor. Foxconn has announced the X38A motherboard, based on the Intel X38 chipset. The new motherboard features three PCIe x16 slots (including two slots supporting ATI CrossFire running at dual x16 bandwidth), PCIe Generation 2.0 support for future high-performance graphics cards, Up to 8GB of DDR2 1066/800/667 MHz memory or 4 GB of DDR3 1333/1066/800 MHz and support for forthcoming Intel 45nm processors. AXIOMTEK has released an EPIC form factor single board computer (SBC), the EP830. The new motherboard is powered by Mobile Intel 945GME+ICH7M Express chipset and supports Socket M Intel Core 2 Duo, Core Duo, and Core Solo processors with 533/667 MHz front side bus (FSB).

Micro-Star International (MSI) has launched its latest P6NGM series motherboards based on MCP73 series chipset with GeForce 7 graphics integrated. According to the MSI, P6NGM is the first HDMI-ready motherboard supporting Intel processors. It supports the latest Intel FSB1333 multi-core processors, which include Core 2 Quad/Duo and other Core architecture based processors. ASUS has just launched P5NT WS, a socket 775 motherboard based on nVidia nForce 680i LT SLI chipset and supporting forthcoming 45 nm Intel processors. This motherboard supports DDR2 memory up to 800 MHz, it has three PCI Express x16 slots, one PCI-X slot, two PCI Express x1 slots, one standard PCI slot, Gigabit Ethernet and 8-channel audio produced by Realtek ALC888 codec.
ASUS has just launched its first motherboard compatible with the forthcoming AMD processors based on K10 architecture: M2A-VM. This is a socket AM2+ motherboard, which is a socket AM2 supporting HyperTransport 3.0 and separated power sources for the CPU and its memory controller (a.k.a. Dual Dynamic Power Management, DDPM, or “split-plane” technology). ASUS also announced a list with others motherboards that will be able to support next-generation AMD CPUs after applying BIOS updates.
