Sapphire has just introduced the Pure Black 990FX (PB-A3BRD990), a socket AM3+ motherboard based on the AMD 990FX chipset. This board comes with a black PCB, and features four DDR3 memory slots, two PCI-Express x16 slots, two PCI Express x8 slots, two PCI Express x4 slots, nine SATA-600 ports, four USB 3.0 ports, one eSATA port, 7.1 channel audio (Realtek ALC892) and two Gigabit Ethernet ports (Marvell 88E8057). MSI has just announced another motherboard with PCI Express 3.0 slots, but this time it is an entry-level, the Z68MA-G43 (G3). This microATX, socket 1155 board features four DDR3 memory sockets, two PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots, two PCI Express x1 slots, two SATA-600 ports, four SATA-300 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, 7.1 channel audio, Gigabit Ethernet, and HDMI, DVI and VGA video outputs. It also includes OC Genie II and ClickBIOS II functions. The board’s price has not been disclosed.

Biostar has announced the TA990FXE, its newest socket AM3+ motherboard based on the AMD 990FX chipset (SB950 south bridge chip). The TA990FXE is an ATX board that supports up to 140 W AM3+ processors, including the upcoming AMD FX chips.
