Razer has announced the latest iteration of the Razer Naga MMO gaming mouse. The Razer Naga’s iconic 12-button thumb grid is now outfitted with mechanical switches for increased tactility, speed, and actuation assurance. Each button on the thumb grid stands out more pronounced than previous generation models to allow for blind-finding, letting gamers execute commands more easily.

The Naga’s ergonomic form factor has also been updated with a broader shape, offering the best feel and comfort to a wider range of hand types. The fourth and fifth finger rest has a gentler down-slope to promote better grip and reduce fatigue over extended play. Razer’s latest Naga also features a tilt-click scroll wheel that clicks in and out and also left and right, disposing more buttons for gamers.

The original MMO gaming mouse, the Razer Naga was announced in 2009 and helped launch a new line of gaming mice that many have imitated but none has matched.

In-game MMO configurator software is also being introduced and is included with the Naga to allow gamers to set up their mouse's key binds, macros and other preferences, all from within any games they play. This is achieved via a non-intrusive overlay, so gamers conveniently never have to quit games to customize the mouse exactly as they need.

Also available at launch is the left-handed edition of the all-new Razer Naga.

The Razer Naga is available now at Razerzone.com for USD 79.99.

Product features:

  • Total of 19 MMO optimized programmable buttons
  • 12-button mechanical thumb grid
  • Tilt-click scroll wheel
  • 8200 dpi 4G laser sensor
  • Razer Synapse 2.0 enabled
  • Green LED backlighting
  • 1000 Hz Ultrapolling
  • Up to 200 inches per second / 50 g max acceleration
  • Zero-acoustic Ultraslick mouse feet
  • 2.1 m / 7 ft. braided fibre cable

Product dimensions:

  • Length: 119 mm / 4.68 inches
  • Width: 75 mm / 2.95 inches
  • Height: 43 mm / 1.69 inches

Product weight: 135 g / 0.30 lbs

Roccat has announced immediate availability of the optical version of its Kone Pure gaming mouse. This release ensures that there is now a Kone for both breeds of gamer: those preferring the maxed out dpi of a laser mouse, and those yearning for the unique feel of an optical sensor gliding over their mousepad.

The Kone Pure Optical combines the design innovations and ergonomic shape of original Kone Pure – 91% the size of the Kone – with an ultra-accurate, cutting-edge Pro-Optic (R3) optical sensor. Equipped with high-quality Omron switches, Roccat innovations such as Easy-Shift[+], Easy-Aim, and Roccat Talk, and a top-end sensor with dpi adjustable up to true 4,000 dpi, the Kone Pure Optical is designed for discerning gamers who want the best from their peripherals.

The Sense mousepad, which entered the market in 2008, has been reissued by Roccat, and is now available in a slick Meteor Blue design. The extremely thin textile pad, 2 mm thick, provides precise cursor control – allowing for absolute accuracy. The special micro-crystalline coating minimizes frictional resistance efficiently, and therefore provides a noticeable improvement in the gliding capability of accompanying mice.

The large surface area, 400 x 280 mm, ensures the pad is of an optimized size for low- and high-sensitivity gamers alike. The Sense mousepad also remains available in Chrome Blue.

Now Available:

  • Roccat Kone Pure Optical: USD 69.99
  • Roccat Sense Meteor: USD 19.99

Microsoft Announces Mice with Windows 8 Start Button Built-in
Author: Cássio Lima Date: May 24, 2013 - 5:39 AM PST
Category: Input
More Info: http://blogs.windows.com/windows/b/windowsexperience/archive/2013/05/2...
Input

Today, Microsoft is announcing two new mice designed specifically for Windows. These are the first mice from Microsoft to include a Windows button on them, giving you quick and easy access to specific features in Windows – and, in the case of the Sculpt Comfort Mouse, more advanced functionality in Windows 8.

Sculpt Comfort Mouse

The Sculpt Comfort Mouse is a perfect companion to the Sculpt Comfort Keyboard Microsoft announced last fall. The Sculpt Comfort Mouse has a touch-sensitive blue strip on its side called the Windows touch tab that makes it easy to navigate Windows 8 with just the touch or swipe of a finger. When pressed, it of course takes you to your Start screen, just like the Windows buttons on keyboards, PCs, and tablets.

But it does more than just take you to your Start screen. If you swipe up on the blue strip, it cycles through all your open Windows Store apps in Windows 8. And if you swipe down, it will reveal all the open apps (on the left side of your screen) for you to select the one you want. You don’t have to worry about a tiny USB transceiver since the Sculpt Comfort Mouse uses Bluetooth to connect to your Windows PC or tablet. It also has a comfortable ergonomic design and our BlueTrack technology to be used on pretty much any surface.

The Sculpt Comfort Mouse will be available in June for an estimated retail price of USD 39.95.

Sculpt Mobile Mouse

The Sculpt Mobile Mouse is the latest evolution of the Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 – with a Windows button which works great on Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Like the Sculpt Comfort Mouse, it also has four-way scrolling – meaning you can scroll sideways by tilting the scroll wheel to the right or left in addition to the vertical scrolling you’re used to. This makes navigating the Start screen in Windows 8 or apps that scroll horizontally a breeze. The Sculpt Mobile Mouse has a compact design, a tiny wireless USB transceiver, and BlueTrack technology.

The Sculpt Mobile Mouse will be available in May for an estimated retail price of USD 29.95.

With Dolby Headphone 7.1 surround sound, you’ll hear up to seven discrete channels of audio data plus a Low Frequency Effects channel. Similar to the Logitech G230 Surround Sound Gaming Headset, this headset also provides washable ear cups that offer a soft, comfortable fit for long gaming sessions. When you want to be heard, the noise-canceling mic can be adjusted to pick up your voice alone. When the mic is not in use, you can easily fold it up and out of the way. The Logitech G430 Surround Sound Gaming Headset is expected to be available for a suggested retail price of USD 79.99.

Logitech G230 Stereo Gaming Headset

The Logitech G230 Stereo Gaming Headset delivers high-quality stereo sound by using 40 mm neodymium drivers to keep you immersed in the game from start to finish for FPS, MMO, or adventure-type games. And because marathon gaming yields heat and sweat, the new headset features ear pieces covered with washable performance-sport cloth for a comfortable, soft touch even after hours of use. With a flexible, noise-canceling folding mic, sound is focused on your voice, practically eliminating background noise for better audio quality. In-line audio controls for volume and microphone mute are within easy reach on the connection cable. The Logitech G230 Stereo Gaming Headset is expected to be available for a suggested retail price of USD 59.99.

Each of these products is expected to be available in the U.S. beginning in April 2013 and in Europe beginning May 2013.

Corsair has just announced the Vengeance K70 fully mechanical gaming keyboard. The new Vengeance K70 gaming keyboard is built on a rugged, brushed, aluminum chassis and features highly responsive Cherry MX Red mechanical switches under every key. The high performance switches combined with the keyboard’s 100% anti-ghosted matrix, 20-key rollover, and 1000 Hz reporting rate provide fast, accurate input for gaming.

The Vengeance K70 gaming keyboards are available in two color schemes:  silver aluminum with blue backlighting, and anodized black with deep red backlighting. Overall backlighting can be adjusted to four levels of intensity and each key is individually backlit, enabling the lighting for each key to be independently enabled or disabled. The key-by-key lighting customization allows users to highlight just the keys they need to emphasize and then save the setting directly to the K70’s onboard memory. In addition, the Vengeance K70 comes with alternate colored, contoured keycaps for the WASD and 1-6 keycaps to allow additional customization.

The Vengeance K70 also features dedicated multimedia controls to allow users to play, stop, pause, skip tracks and adjust volume. An extra USB connector is provided for attaching to USB devices such as a Vengeance gaming mouse or headset. A removable soft-touch wrist rest provides comfort for long gaming or typing sessions.

The Corsair Vengeance K70 will be available in April at suggested price of USD 129.99.
