Razer Launches Salmosa Mouse

Razer released at CeBit its first entry level mouse Salmosa. It offers 800/1800dpi, 125/500/1000Hz polling rate adjustments, 1ms response time, three programmable Hyperesponse buttons, ambidextrous design and Scroll wheel with 24 individual click positions. Salmosa measures 115mm (length) x 63mm (width) x 37mm (height). The new mouse is priced at USD 39.99.

Roccat Releases Kome Gaming Mouse

Roccat has delivered a new line of gaming peripherals which includes the Kone mouse. According to Roccat, this is 'the world’s first Distance Control Unit (DCU) mouse', which calculates the distance of the mouse from the surface. This mean more aiming precision, once the sensor recognizes when the player lifts the mouse and interrupts data transmission to the computer thereby freezing the cursor. The new mouse also features 96kB of internal memory, a rubberized top and side surface, 10 buttons and 4-way wheel, 4 removable weights and customizable light system. It will be available first in Europe in February.

Saitek released the cyborg keyboard for gamers. It features customisable backlighting, adjustable brightness and touch-sensitive, backlit dashboard control panel.The 12 programmable ‘Cyborg’ keys allows the gamer to disable the Windows keys and configure the colour and brightness of your gaming keys at the touch of a button. It has gold-plated connectors for USB 2.0 and Audio and works with Windows XP, XP64 and Windows Vista.

Logitech Intros New Products for its G-series

Logitech introduced the newest addition to its G-series of peripherals for PC gaming. The new products include the G9 Laser Mouse and G15 Gaming Keyboard. They are expected to be available in late August for USD 99.99 each.

The G9 Laser Mouse takes customization to the extreme, giving PC gamers the ability to modify nearly every part of the mouse. It also features on-the-fly dpi switching ranging from 200 dpi to 3200 dpi, full-speed USB, laser tracking, an onboard-memory profiling system, weight tuning (which enables gamers to choose from 8 additional weights, adding up to a maximum of 28 grams), a custom-color LED and the MicroGear Precision Scroll Wheel.

The G15 Gaming Keyboard comes with a GamePanel LCD screen, which brings to gamers critical information to help them win.

Logitech launches a new keyboard 'to offer computer users more comfort'. The Wave family combined three elements in its new design to enhance comfort without requiring people to change the way they type: an innovative wave key-frame design, a U-shaped constant curve and a cushioned, contoured palm rest. The units are compatible with both PC and Mac. The Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave keyboard-and-mouse combination is expected to be available beginning in late August and will have a suggested retail price of USD 89.99. The corded Logitech Wave Keyboard is expected to be available in October and will have a suggested retail price of USD 49.99.

Razer launches the third generation of its Diamondback mouse. This new incarnation of the Razer Diamondback uses the most advanced infrared sensor (with 1800dpi), says manufacturer. Diamondback 3G also features a new rubberized non-slip finish, providing a more tactile feel, for quicker responses. It allows 6400 frames per second (5.8 megapixels per second), Scroll wheel with 24 individual click positions, and USB connectors. It will retail for USD 59.99 USD beggining on August 1.

Logitech has introduced the MX Air mouse, a laser mouse that works on the desk and in the air, similar to the way people use a remote to control a television.

The new mouse combines three technologies – Freespace motion-control, gesture command and wireless. In place of a scroll wheel, the MX Air mouse features a touch-sensitive scroll panel. A swipe of the finger across the surface enables the inertial scrolling mechanism, which adjusts its speed according to the speed of the finger swipe.

The rechargeable MX Air mouse uses Logitech's 2.4 GHz digital cordless technology, which offers a range of up to 30 feet. Its suggested retail price in the US is USD 149.99.

Microsoft unveils Natural Ergonomic Desktop 7000, which comes with an innovative shape of the keyboard and mouse to "encourage a more natural hand, wrist, and forearm posture", says manufacturer. The mouse features 4-way scrolling, zoom function, five customizable buttons and battery life indicator.
