Corsair announces its DDR3 memory line. The modules TWIN3X2048-1066C7 runs at 1,066 Mhz and has latencies of 7-7-7-21; and TWIN3X2048-1333C9DHX runs at 1,333 MHz and has latencies of 9-9-9-27. They are available in dual-channel kits (2 GB).

Super Talent Technology announced a new line of 1333 MHz and 1066 MHz DDR3 modules. These JEDEC compliant 1 GB modules and 2 GB kits were designed specifically for the new Intel P35 “Bearlake” platform. These modules are clad in Super Talent’s custom black cast aluminum HE heat spreaders for optimum thermal performance. The 1333 MHz modules have frequencies of 9-9-9-27 and the 1066 MHz ones have frequencies of 7-7-7-20.

OCZ Technology announced their official crossover into DDR3 memory to coincide with the recent launch of the Intel Bearlake Chipset. They will accommodate JEDEC specifications for third generation Double Data Rate memory. The first OCZ DDR3 products are Gold Series memory kits PC3-8500 (1066MHz) and PC3-10666 (1333MHz). The latencies for DDR3 PC3-10666 modules are 9-9-9-26 and for PC3-8500 are 7-7-7-21. The modules will be initially available in 2x512 MB and 2x1 GB dual channel kits.

Microdia has launched the SDHC Card 160XTRAPRO, a new SD memory card based on the SDA 2.00 specification. This specification enables SD Cards to read capacities from 4 GB to 32 GB. Microdia has already launched this card with 4 GB and 8 GB, and now introduces a 16 GB card. Apparently, it is the world's first 16 GB SD card. It is a dream, but too expensive. It costs, in Japan, around USD 3,500.

Sony has finally announced its first Compact Flash line, with three 66x transfer speed cards with capacities of 1 GB, 2 GB and 4 GB. In addition, two 133x transfer speed cards with 2 GB and 4 GB capacity. According to Sony, the 66x transfer speed CompactFlash cards offer a data transfer rate of 10MB/s (read) and 9MB/s (write), while the 133x CompactFlash cards offer a data transfer rate of 20MB/s (read and write).
