Kingston has launched its new HyperX (KHX6400S2ULK2/4G) memory kit designed for notebooks. Available in 4 GB capacity, this kit consists of two 2 GB DDR2 SO-DIMMs that can work at 800 MHz with CL4-4-4-12 timings or at 667 MHz with CL3-4-4-10 timings, at 1.8 V. HyperX is already available on the market priced at USD 257.

SanDisk has just launched the new Cruzer Pattern flash memories. Available in 1 GB (gray) and 2 GB (black) capacities, theses new flash memories support U3 technology. This technology allows you to carry the necessary software to work with your files automatically in the drive, so when opening your files in a different computer, you will be able to work with them even if your software of choice isn’t installed on that computer. The MSRP for 1 GB model is of USD 9.99 and for 2 GB model is of USD 14.99.

Mushkin Launches X-Line Memory Series

Mushkin has unveiled a new memory modules series called X-Line. Modules from this series use colorful heatspreads and a black PCB, instead of the traditional green PCB.  The following modules were launched:

  • 996580X (DDR2-800 / PC2-6400): Available in 4 GB kits with 4-4-4-12 timings and it uses a black heatspread.
  • 996580wX (DDR2-800 / PC2-6400): Available in 4 GB kits with 4-4-4-12 timings and it uses a white heatspread.
  • 996593X (DDR2-1000 / PC2-8000): Available in 4 GB kits with 5-5-5-15 timings and it uses a red heatspread.

Theses modules support EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles) technology that allows memory modules negotiate with memory controller betters timings and the higher clock under which they can work in order to achieve the best performance. This technology works only with nVidia chipsets.

Memory Lexar Media has just increased its Crucial Ballistix product line with the launch of two new DDR3 memory modules: DDR3-1333 (PC3-10600; timings 6-6-6-20 at 1.8 V) and DDR3-1800 (PC3-14400; information about timings and voltage aren’t available). Memory Aeneon (a spin-off from Infineon), a brand from memory manufacturer Qimonda, has announced its new DDR3-1066 memory modules for notebooks that will reach the market next month. Featuring 7-7-7-21 timings at 1.5 V, these new modules will be available in 1 GB and 2 GB capacities. Aside from DDR3, Aeneon is also offering DDR2-800 SO-DIMM (AET860SD00-25D).

OCZ has just announced the first memory modules available in their Fatal1ty memory modules. Theses modules were co-developed with Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel, 12-time World champion, to meet the specific needs of gamers enthusiastic. The following modules were launched:

 

  • OCZ DDR2-800 (PC2-6400): Available in 4 GB kits with 5-4-4-18 timings at 2.1 V.
  • OCZ DDR2-1066 (PC2-8500): Available in 2 GB kits with 5-5-5-15 timings at 2.1 V.
  • OCZ DDR3-1333 (PC3-10666): Available in 2 GB and 4GB kits with 9-9-9-26 timings at 1.7 V.

Corsair has increased its Dominator product line with the launch of a 2,133 MHz (PC3-17066) DDR3 memory module. Available in 2 GB kits (TW3X2G2133C9DF) this module features Dual-path Heat Xchange (DHX) technology that uses convection and conduction methods to remove heat from the memory module. This memory has been verified to operate at 2,133 MHz at latencies of 9-9-9-24 at 2.0 V on nVidia 790i-based motherboards.

Sony has announced an 8 GB Memory Stick Micro card (M2), twice the capacity of the company’s most capacious M2 card currently available. This M2 card comes with a USB adaptor allowing you to read your data using a computer. Sony didn't say how much this card will cost and when it will reach the market.
