TwinMOS Technologies introduced Twister DDR2-800 CL4 and DDR2-1066 CL5 overclocking DRAM modules. The Twister DDR2-800 CL4 runs at 800 Mhz at 1.8 V, while Twister DDR2-1066 CL5 runs at 1066 MHz at 1.8 V.They are available in 256 MB, 512 MB and 1 GB models.

Mushkin Releases the XP2-8500

Mushkin Enhanced releases the XP2-8500 memory modules, which is rated at 5-5-4-12 at 2.2-2.4V. In overclocking applications, the end-user can raise the HTT or FSB considerably with the use of these modules, says the manufacturer. It is available in both 512 MB and 1 GB memory modules.

Toshiba Announced the First 8 GB SDHC

Toshiba unveils the first 8 GB SDHC (SD High Capacity) memory card. It is a class 4 memory card, which means it has a data write speed of at least 4MB a second. The new card will be introduced in early January 2007.

OCZ Intros PC2-9200 FlexXLC Memory Modules

OCZ Technology's released the PC2-9200 FlexXLC memory modules, which feature a new cooling solution called FlexXLC, a hybrid water and air cooler. This is accomplished by using a hybrid copper and aluminum design with an optimized fin array and copper liquid injection system.

OCZ PC2-9200 FlexXLC modules have eight-layer PCB features thermally conductive power and ground planes to help heat transfer and reduce crosstalk.

The modules run at 1150MHz DDR2 and have latencies of 5-5-5-18. They are available in 2 GB kits.

OCZ Unveils System Elite Family

OCZ has announced System Elite, a new hand-tested memory product family. Thw new memory also features XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreader technology. Parts will be available frequencies of PC2-4200, PC2-5400 and PC2-6400 in 512MB/1GB modules and 1GB (2x512) and 2GB (2x1024) dual channel kits.

The 533 MHz PC2-4200 runs at 4-4-4-12 timings, the 667 MHz PC2-5400 DDR2 runs at 5-5-5-12 timings and the 800 MHz PC2-6400 DDR2 runs at 5-5-5-12 timings.

Corsair launched the new DDR2-1142 TWIN2X2048-9136C5D DOMINATOR, which claims to be the world’s fastest DDR2 memory. Designed for the new NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI based motherboards, the memory runs at 1142 MHz and has latency timings of 5-5-5-15. It is available in 2 GB kits.

OCZ introduces NVidia SLI-Ready Series with two new memories: PC2-7200 SLI-Ready and PC2-8500 SLI-Ready. The new modules feature an exclusively designed heatspreader for NVidia. PC2-8500 modules are programmed to boot at 1066MHz DDR2 with timings of 4-5-5-15. It is available in 1 GB modules and in 2 GB dual channel kit. PC2-7200 runs at 900 MHz DDR2 with latencies of 4-4-3-15. It is also available in 1GB modules and in a 2GB dual channel kit.

OCZ Intros PC2-6400 Titanium EPP-Ready

The new OCZ PC2-6400 Titanium memory modules are programmed to boot at 800MHz DDR2. Equipped with Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP), it can optimize the modules’ performance on current nForce 590 SLI-based motherboards. The latencies in those motherboards are 4-4-4-15 1T. On the other hand, it has latencies of 5-4-4-15 2T in motherboards that can't detect the EPP technology. The memory operates at 2.2 Volts and its available in 1 GB modules and 2GB Dual Channel Kits.

Mushkin Announces HP2-6400 Memory

KINGMAX Intros 1st 1 GB MicroSD With SLC

With more demand for data storage in mobile phones, manufacturers of memory cards have increase the capacity and speed of their products. KINGMAX has released a 1 GB MicroSD card, the first in the world to use SLC (single level cell) memory. This means that its read-write speeds beat all its MLC competitors. The read speed is up to 10.5 MB/s and the write speed is up to 8.9 MB/s. The second fastest 1 GB MicroSD on the market is the MLC Sandisk model with a 8.8 MB/s for read speed and 5.0 MB/s for write speed, according to KINGMAX test lab.

OCZ introduces the second certified member of the ATI CrossFire DDR2 series. The new PC2-6400 delivers 800MHz speeds at 4-4-4 timings and 2.1 volts. It features an ATI special XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreader displaying ATI's "Certified" logo.
