G.Skill Unveils Ripjaws Memory Series

G.Skill announced today its newest DDR3 memory series, Ripjaws. Modules from this series feature an aluminum heatspread and can be found in dual-channel kits with clocks ranging from 1,333 MHz to 1,866 MHz, powered at 1.65 V. G.Skill will be launching Ripjaws modules with 2 GHz and 2.2 GHz clocks very soon. No word on princing and availability.

Patriot Gives 3DMark Vantage Software with Viper II Memory Kits

Memory Patriot has announced the launch of two Viper II DDR2 memory kits that come with the benchmarking software Futuremark 3DMark Vantage. The following kits were announced:
  • PV224G6400LLKB: 4 GB (2 GB x 2) DDR2 dual-channel kit clocked at 800 MHz with 4-4-4-12 timings at 2.1 V.
  • PV224G8500ELKB: 4 GB (2 GB x 2) DDR2 dual-channel kit clocked at 1,066 MHz with 5-5-5-15 timings at 2.1 V.

No word on pricing and availability.

A-Data Announces XPG Plus DDR3-2200+ v2.0 Memory Kits

A-Data has just announced the launch of XPG Plus DDR3-2200+ v2.0 dual-channel memory kits. Available in 2 GB (2 x 1 GB) and 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) capacities, these new kits make use of memory modules able to work up to 2,200 MHz with 8-8-8-24 timings at 1.65 V. These modules also feature 2 oz copper PCBs (just like Gigabyte's Ultra Durable 3 motherboards), which improve energy efficiency and enhance stability for overclocking, and a heatsink installed. No word on pricing and availability.

GeIL Announces DDR3 Green Memory Series

Memory GeIL has increased its “Green” product line-up with the launch of four DDR3 memory kits. Available in 2 GB (1 GB x 2) and 4 GB (2 GB x 2) kits, theses new kits are comprised with DDR3 modules powered at 1.3 V, instead of 1.5 V as defined by JEDEC specification. Also, these kits come inside a recycled paper packaging.

GeIL DDR3 Green modules work at 1,066 MHz (8-8-8-20 timings) and 1,333 MHz (9-9-9-9-24 timings). No word on pricing and availability.

Super Talent has increased its Luxio USB flash memory line-up with the launch of a 128 GB model. Available in 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB and now 128 GB capacities, Super Talent Luxio flash memories measure 3.0” x 0.81” x 0.37”, feature AES-256 hardware encryption and support ReadyBoost technology, a feature brought by Windows Vista that allows flash memories to be used as a disk cache in order to improve the system performance. 128 GB Luxio memory is priced at USD 349.

Called Pico, flash memories from this series are available in 2 GB (USD 9.99), 4 GB (USD 14,99), 8 GB (USD 23.99) and 16 GB (USD 39.99) capacities, measure 1.3” x 0.6” x 0.1” (3.2 cm x 1.5 cm x 0.3 cm), weight 0.05 oz (1.5 g), provide transfer rate of up to 30 MB/s and support ReadyBoost technology, a feature brought by Windows Vista that allows flash memories to be used as a disk cache in order to improve the system performance.

Transcend has launched a server DDR3 memory modules line-up equipped with thermal sensors. This allows the motherboard to monitor the temperature of each memory module and adjust the memory clock accordingly, ensuring the best possible system performance while at the same time protecting DRAM modules from crash and burn. Transcend's sensor-equipped memory modules are available in 1,066 MHz and 1,333 MHz clocks with CL7 and CL9 timings, respectively. No word on pricing and availability.

Kingston has launched a 6 GB (3 x 2 GB) triple-channel DDR3-1600 memory kit equipped with T1 aluminum heatspread. This new kit is available in the Kingston HyperX family and its memory modules work at 1,600 MHz with 9-9-9-27 timings at 1.65 V and support XMP (Extreme Memory Profiles) technology, which allows memory modules to negotiate with the memory controller the best latencies and highest clock rate they can work in order to provide the highest possible performance. HyperX T1 DDR3-1600 kit is priced at USD 155.
