Today, Corsair announced retail availability of a 4 GB DDR3 module and an 8 GB DDR3 dual-channel kit for Apple desktop and laptop computers. Both of them work at 1,066 MHz with 7-7-7-20 timings at 1.5 V. The 4 GB module costs USD 44.99, while the 8 GB kit is priced at USD 84.99.

AMD, a well-known CPU and GPU manufacturer, has decided to enter the market of memory modules. The company has started to sell DDR3 memory models under the Radeon brand. AMD offers three series of Radeon memory modules: Entertainment (1333 MHz, CL9-9-9), UltraPro Gaming (1600 MHz, CL11-11-11) and Enterprise (specs to be determined). Initially, the company is shipping only 2 GB memory modules.

Today, Corsair announced worldwide retail availability of the Special Edition Arctic White Vengeance Low Profile memory kit that features a heatspread painted in white. This kit consists of two 4 GB DDR3 modules able to work at 1,600 MHz with 9-9-9-24 timings at 1.35 V. The Special Edition Arctic White Vengeance LP 8 GB memory kit costs USD 89.99.

Patriot has launched the G2 Series, AMD Black Edition memory kits specially designed for the upcoming AMD’s FX processors based on the Bulldozer architecture. This new series consists of two dual-channel DDR3 memory kits with 4 GB or 8 GB capacities running at 1,333 MHz (7-7-7-20 or 9-9-9-24 timings) and 1,600 MHz (8-9-8-24 or 9-9-9-24 timings). The G2 AMD Black Edition will become available this month. Patriot did not reveal the product’s price.
