SanDisk announces Extreme III with 4 GB SDHC class 6 and a 4 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Card. The SDHC card will be packaged with a SanDisk MicroMate USB 2.0 Reader - a $20 value. A 4GB SanDisk Extreme III card can store more than 2,000 high-resolution pictures or up to 8 hours of MPEG 4 video.
The SDHC card has a read/write speed of 20 MB/s, and the Memory Stick PRO Duo card has a read/write speed of 18 MB/s.

SanDisk has released a new version of its iNAND flash drive, compatible with a standard issued by the JEDEC JC-64.1. This new JEDEC compatibility allows iNAND to more readily connect to applications using this common standard. The idea is a flash memory to ease integration of high-capacity storage in Handsets and Other devices. It soon will be available in capacities of up to 8 GB.
