OCZ has launched new DDR3 memory kits specially designed for the AM3 platform from AMD. Below you can see the specs for the new kits:
  • OCZ PC3-12800 Platinum: DDR3 memory module working at 1,600 MHz and available in 4 GB (2 GB x 2) kits with 7-7-7-24 timings at 1.65 V.
  • OCZ PC3-12800 Gold: DDR3 memory module working at 1,600 MHz and available in 4 GB (2 GB x 2) kits with 8-8-8-24 timings at 1.65 V.
  • OCZ PC3-10666 Platinum: DDR3 memory module working at 1,333 MHz and available in 4 GB (2 GB x 2) kits with 7-7-7-20 timings at 1.65 V.
  • OCZ PC3-10666 Gold: DDR3 memory module working at 1,333 MHz and available in 4 GB (2 GB x 2) kits with 9-9-9-20 timings at 1.65 V.

Geil has announced the launch of a new DDR3 memory series targeted to the gamers called EVO ONE. Modules from this series are available in 2 GB, 3 GB, 4 GB and 6 GB capacities and can work up to 2,000 MHz (dual-channel) or up to 2,133 MHz (triple-channel). No word on pricing and availability.

LaCie has just introduced a USB flash memory line-up with a key-shaped design. Available in 4 GB and 8 GB capacities, these memories have transfer speeds of up to 30 MB/s and 10 MB/s for read and write, respectively, and one of the models, the PassKey, features a built-in card reader (microSD and microSDHC). The prices range from USD 9.99 to USD 27.99.

Silicon Power Launches Overclocking Memory Series

Silicon Power has just announced the launch of its first overclocking memory series targeted to gamers and overcloking freaks called Xpower. Available in a 4 GB (2 GB x 2) kit, Xpower DDR2 modules work at 1,066 MHz with 5-5-5-15 timings at 2 V and feature an aluminum heatspreader. No word on pricing and availability.

GeIL Announces Green Memory Series

GeIL seems to be worried about saving our environment because they launched an eco-friendly memory series. Available in 1 GB and 2 GB modules, and 2 GB (1 GB x2) and 4 GB (2 GB x 2) kits, this new series is comprised with DDR2 modules powered at 1.6 V, as opposed to the JEDEC standard, which is 1.8 V, and their packing is made of recycled paper pulp. GeIL Green Series works at 667 MHz (with 5-5-5-15 timings), 800 MHz (with 5-5-5-15 timings) and 1,066 MHz (with 6-6-6-18 timings).

Silicon Power Launches 64 GB eSATA/USB Flash Memory

Silicon Power has increased its eSATA/USB flash memory line-up with the launch of 64 GB model. eSATA interface provides a higher performance in read/write operations than USB 2.0 interface, which limits transfer rate up to 480 Mbps (60 MB/s in theory, 48 MB/s in practical terms). Silicon Power eSATA/USB flash memories offer read and write speeds of up to 90 MB/s and 30 MB/s, respectively, and can be found in 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB capacities. They also feature a mini USB 2.0 port that can be used if an eSATA port is not available. In this case read and write speeds drop to 30 MB/s (read) and 25 MB/s (write). No word on pricing and availability has been disclosed.

Corsair Launches Dominator GT Memory Line-up

Corsair has just officially launched its Dominator GT line-up. Featuring triple-channel DDR3 memory kits designed to Intel Core i7 processors, these modules work up to 2,000 MHz and feature a heatspread with Dual-path Heat Xchange (DHX) technology that uses convection and conduction methods to remove heat from the memory module. This heatspreader has support for water cooling solutions, like the TEC-based water-cooling solution from Corsair.

Two Dominator GT kits were launched, as you can see below:

  • Dominator GT DDR3-1866: Works at 1,866 MHz with 7-8-7-20 timings at 1.65 V e are available in 3 GB (USD 299.99) and 6 GB (USD 479.99) kits.
  • Dominator GT DDR3-2000: Works at 2,000 MHz with 7-8-7-20 timing at 1.65 V and are available in 6 GB (USD 579.99) kits.

Mushkin has just launched a triple-channel DDR3 memory kit named “998679r”. This kit is available in 6 GB (3 x 2 GB) capacities, works at 1,600 MHz with 7-8-7-20 timings at 1.65 V, and comes in an aluminum case and features modules with yellow, radioactive-themed heatspreaders. So far no word on pricing and availability was provided.
