G.Skill has launched a brand new, low profile series of DDR3 memory modules ideal for those users building high performance PCs with large CPU coolers, small form factor desktop computers or any other systems with more restricted space. Dubbed Ares series, the entire line-up features a 1.25” (3.2 cm) tall heatspreader. G.Skill Ares specifications are listed in the table below.

Corsair Intros Vengeance Memory Kits for Laptops

Corsair has announced the release of DDR3 SO-DIMM kits within their Vengeance series. The new kits are available in 4 GB and 8 GB capacities, and operate at 1,600 MHz with 9-9-9-24 timings or 1,866 MHz with 10-10-10-27 timings.

The new Corsair Vengeance notebook memory kits are available from Corsair's worldwide network of resellers and distributors.

Kingston Launches DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 USB Flash Drives

Kingston has launched a new series of USB 3.0 flash drives, dubbed DataTraveler HyperX 3.0, which is available in 64 GB (USD 193), 128 GB (USD 377) and 256 GB capacities. DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 drives can reach read and write speeds of 225 MB/s and 135 MB/s, respectively, in USB 3.0 mode. They feature 8-channel architecture, support ReadyBoost technology, and come with a rubberized casing to increase protection.

The newest of Intel’s Core i7-300 series of processors, codenamed “Sandy Bridge-E,” support the new quad-channel memory architecture, which quadruples the available memory bandwidth.

Patriot, Corsair and G.Skill have already launched their quad-channel memory kits for motherboards using the socket 2011 Intel Core i7 processor family.

Corsair has updated their Vengeance and Value Select series of memory to include an 8 GB DDR3 memory module.

The 8 GB Vengeance module works at 1,600 MHz with 10-10-10-27 timings at 1.5 V, while the 8 GB Value Select part works at 1,333 MHz with 9-9-9-24 timings at 1.5 V.
