Palit Microsystems releases the new GeForce 8800GT overclocked, with a core speed of 650 MHz and memory speed of 1.9 GHz. It also features a 3-Phase Power Supply System, which allows a better power solution than 2-phase power supply system in the market. The card is equipped with a cooling system which combines the silence from heatsink and the thermal conductivity from fan, guarantees Palit. It produces lower Noise (29.5dB).

ASUS Releases GeForce 8800 GT with Glaciator Fansink

ASUS has released GeForce 8800 GT series graphic cards with a new thermal solution – the Glaciator Fansink. It is incorporated with the EN8800GT TOP/G/HTDP/512M, EN8800GT/G/HTDP/512M, and EN8800GT/G/HTDP/256M graphic cards. The Glaciator Fansink keeps GPU temperatures up to 7ºC cooler than reference designed boards, guarantees ASUS. Additionally, the EN8800GT TOP features overclocking of the stream processors. The graphic card series will also come bundled with the DX10 game, 'Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts'. Check the specifications:

AMD/ATI Intros Radeon HD 3800 Series

AMD/ATI introduced the Radeon HD 3800 Series of graphics processing units. As the world's first series of graphics processors to deliver Microsoft's DirectX 10.1 support, 55nm process technology and tri and quad multi-GPU support with ATI CrossFireX.  Two variants of the family will be launched at this moment: the Radeon HD 3850 features 256MB of GDDR3 memory and has prices from USD 179; and the Radeon HD 3870 with 512MB GDDR4 memory will cost from USD 219.

The new models has Unified Video Decoder (UVD), which ensures exceptional platform efficiency and image quality in HD-DVD and Blu-ray decoding for both H.264 and VC-1 specifications. Enhanced HDMI functionality also continues on this series of products with integrated HDCP and audio for HDMI video.

Toshiba releases in Japan the first 22" LCD monitor with 3840x2400 of resolution (200 dots per inch). Although the contrast ratio is just 300:1, the new monitor will be extremely pricey: it will cost about US$ 18,000.

Palit introduces its own design GeForce 8800GT, equipped with Palit’s cooling system which provides better thermal performance and meanwhile reduces the noises. The Cooling System keeps the temperature of the GPU stays in a relative cooler status even in the overclocking situation, says Palit. The noise is reduced to 29.5dB. New Graphic Cards with GeForce 8800GT

Some graphic cards manufacturers have released their GeForce 8800GT card synchronously to the  nVidia. ECS launched the N8800GT-512MX, its first 256 bits performance level Direct X 10 product.

Biostar announced the V8803GT52, which still has the advantage of its compact size. Sigma Gate V8803GT52 takes about only 1/2 space of a typical GeForce 8800GTX model and is barely one slot wide.

Sparkle announced the Passive Cooling GeForce 8800 GT Cool-pipe 3 graphics card, with 0dB working noise.

Albatron unveils the 8800GT-512 with two DVI connectors and an HDTV-out.

MSI ships the NX8800GT Series. After raising the number of stream processors inside GPU core, MSI NX8800GT Series can achieve even better benchmark result or real application performance than ever, says the manufacturer.

All the new cards come with 112 stream processors, 256-bit memory interface running at 900MHz and GPU speed is set at 600MHzand uses PCI Express 2.0 interface.

nVidia Launches GeForce 8800 GT

The nVidia launches its new chip GeForce 8800 GT today. Cheaper than 8800 GTS, the video card announced by nVidia will be the first to use PCI Express 2.0 slot and it is recommended for the latest next-generation DirectX 10 games. The new card comes with 112 stream processors, 256-bit memory interface running at 900MHz and GPU speed is set at 600MHz. GeForce 8800 GT-based graphics cards are available now from add-in card manufacturers, retailers, and system builders.

Sparkle announces Calibre P860 Turbo Graphic Card , powered by NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT.The card features Super Clock technology (SCT) and Turbo button design, which allows users to embrace 32 extreme fast stream processors with much higher shader clock out of box, says Sparkle.

The Calibre P860 Turbo Graphic Card features dual video BIOSes, each containing different core, memory and stream processors clock settings. ASUS has launched three new LCD monitors. The 19" VW198 has contrast ratio of 3000:1, viewing angle of 170°(H) /160°(V) and response time of 5ms. The 20" VW202T has contrast ratio 2000:1, viewing angle of 160°(H) /160°(V) and response time of 5 ms. The 22" VW222 has contrast ratio of 2000:1, viewing angle of 170°(H) /160°(V) and response time of 2 ms. All of them has optimal resolution of 1680×1050 WSXGA+ and widescreen display.
