BFG Rolls Out GeForce GTX 285 H2O

BFG has announced the launch of GeForce GTX 285 H20 (BFGEGTX2851024H2OWE), a factory-overclocked video card equipped with a copper waterblock (part used on liquid cooling systems) co-developed with Danger Den and that according to the manufacturer reduces the GPU temperature up to 42° C compared to standard cooling systems. This video card works internally at 666 MHz (2.78% above default clock of 648 MHz), accesses its 1 GB GDDR3 at 2,484 MHz DDR (3.5% above default clock of 2.400 MHz DDR) thru a 512-bit interface, and its shader processors run at 1,512 MHz (2.44% above default clock of 1,476 MHz). BFG GeForce GTX 285 H20 is a single-slot card, supports 3-way SLI, CUDA and PhysX technologies, features two DVI and one S-Video connectors, and is priced at USD 500.

Gigabyte Releases Ultra Durable VGA Technology

Gigabyte has brought to its video card the Ultra Durable technology, a technology that has been used for a long time on its motherboards. The goal from his technology is to increase quality and durability (and of course, overclocking capability) from Gigabyte products by including special components like Japonese aluminum solid caps, low RDS(on) MOSFET transistors, ferrite chokes, printed circuit board using a 2
oz (57 g) copper layer and Samsung or Hynix memory chips, in the case of Ultra Durable VGA technology. The first Gigabyte video card using Ultra Durable VGA technology is GeForce GTS 250 (GV-N250ZL-1GI), pictured below.

Manufacturers Launch GeForce 9600 GT “Green”

Zotac and Sparkle have launched GeForce 9600 GT “Green” models, an eco-friendly video card that is 40% more power efficient than the regular model. GeForce 9600 GT “Green” works internally with a lower clock (600 MHz vs. 650 MHz on the original model; because of this GeForce 9600 GT “Green” consumes less and lacks the 6-pin PCI Express power connector) and accesses its 512 MB GDDR3 at 1,800 MHz DDR (900 MHz real) thru a 256-bit interface. nVidia Rolls Out GeForce GTS 250

Video nVidia has officially launched GeForce GTS 250, which is in fact a relabeled GeForce 9800 GTX+. This video card works internally at 738 MHz, has 128 shader processors working at 1,836 MHz and accesses its 512 MB or 1 GB GDDR3 at 2 GHz DDR (512 MB model) or at 2.2 GHz DDR (1 GB model) thru a 256-bit interface. This is the same specs to GeForce 9800 GTX+. The main difference between GeForce GTS 250 and GeForce 9800 GTX+ is that the former has only one PCI Express auxiliary power connector, while the latter has two. GeForce GTS 250 with 1 GB is priced at USD 149, while 512 MB model is priced at USD 129.

AMD/ATI Launches Mobility Radeon HD 4860/4830

AMD/ATI has just announced the launch of Mobility Radeon HD 4860 and Mobility Radeon HD 4830 GPUs specially designed to the notebook market. These 40-nm GPUs have 640 shader processors and support CrossFireX technology. Mobility Radeon HD 4860 works internally at 650 MHz and accesses its memory at 1 GHz DDR thru a 128-bit interface, while Mobility Radeon HD 4830 works internally at 450 MHz or 600 MHz and accesses its memory at 800 MHz DDR or 900 MHz DDR thru a 128-bit interface. According to AMD/ATI the first notebooks based on these new GPUs will reach the market in the second quarter of this year.

EVGA Unleashes GeForce GTX 285 HydroCopper

EVGA has launched GeForce GTX 285 HydroCopper (01G-P3-1290-AR), a factory-overclocked video card based on nVidia GeForce GTX 285 GPU featuring an all-copper waterblock (part used on liquid cooling systems) called HydroCopper (200-CU-HC85-B1). This card works internally at 720 MHz (11.11% above default clock of 648 MHz), accesses its 1 GB GDDR3 at 2.772 MHz DDR (15.5% above default clock of 2.400 MHz DDR) thru a 512-bit interface, its 240 shader processors work at 1,620 MHz (9.75% above default clock of 1,476 MHz) and it supports 3-way SLI, CUDA and PhysX technologies. GTX 285 HydroCopper has S-Video and two DVI connectors. This card is available for pre-order costing USD 549.99, while the HydroCopper waterblock alone costs USD 129.99.

This card is equipped with an all-copper waterblock (part used on liquid cooling systems), works internally at 722 MHz (11.42% above default clock of 648 MHz), accesses its 1 GB GDDR3 at 2.7 GHz DDR (8.87% above default clock of 2.4 GHz DDR) thru a 512-bit interface, its 240 shader processors works at 1,584 MHz (7.31% above default clock of 1,476 MHz) and supports 3-way SLI, CUDA and PhysX technologies. Palit Launches GeForce GTX 285 with 2 GB GDDR3

Palit has launched a GeForce GTX 285 with 2 GB GDDR3 that uses standard GTX 285 reference clocks (internal clock of 648 MHz, memory clock of 2.5 GHz DDR and 512-bit interface). This card takes two expansion slots, has a cooler featuring two 80-mm fans and four heatpipes, supports 3-way SLI, PhysX and Cuda, and has Dual DVI connectivity. Palit also launched a 1 GB model. Inno3D has just launched a GeForce GTX 260 video card equipped with FreezerX2 cooler (two 80-mm fans with speed controlled by the video card via PWM and three heatpipes). According to Inno3D this cooler offers double cooling performance compared to GeForce GTX 260 standard cooler. This video card uses GTX 260 reference clocks (internal clock of 576 MHz, 869 GDDR3 being accessed at 2,000 MHz DDR thru a 448-bit interface), is a dual-slot solution and supports SLI, CUDA and PhysX technologies, also dual-DVI connectivity. This video card has nVidia’s reference clocks for GeForce GTX 295 (internal clock of 576 MHz, two 896 MB GDDR3 banks being accessed at 1,998 MHz DDR – 900 MHz real – through a 448-bit interface) and it is already available on the market, even though its price has not been disclosed.

Video After Samsung, now it’s time to ViewSonic to launch its first 3D monitor compatible with nVidia GeForce 3D Vision technology (automatically converts over 350 games to stereoscopic 3D without the need for special game patches), named VX2265wm. nVidia has just launched its newest GPUs targeted to gamers: GeForce GTX 295 and GeForce GTX 285. GeForce GX 295 is a PCI Express 2.0 card equipped with two 55-nm GPUs (GT200b) working internally at 576 MHz, has 1,792 MB GDDR3 being accessed at 1,998 MHz DDR (999 MHz real) thru a 448-bit interface, 480 stream processors, two Dual-link DVI and one HDMI connectors, TDP of 289 W and requires extra power via one 6-pin and one 8-pin connectors. GeForce GTX 295 is coming to fight with Radeon HD 4870 X2 and it is already available priced at USD 499.

GeForce GTX 285, on the other hand, is a PCI Express 2.0 card equipped with only one GPU, works internally at 648 MHz, has 1 GB GDDR3 being accessed at 1,476 MHz DDR (738 MHz real) and has 240 stream processors. GeForce GTX 285 will be available on January 15th with a MSRP of USD 399.
