Sparkle has announced the launch of a GeForce GTX 275 video card equipped with 1,792 MB GDDR3, double the amount found on standard models. This card uses GeForce GTX 275 reference clocks, i.e. internal clock of 633 MHz, memory clock of 2,268 MHz DDR (448-bit interface) and shader clock of 1,404 MHz, is a single-slot solution and features two DVI connectors. No word on pricing and availability.

Sparkle Releases GeForce GTX 260 Calibre

Sparkle has extended its Calibre line-up with the launch of GeForce GTX 260 (X265/X265HM). By using the SPA Tune utility this card can be configured to work in three modes: green mode (internal clock of 400 MHz, shader clock of 800 MHz and memory clock of 600 MHz DDR), standard mode (internal clock of 576 MHz, shader clock of 1,242 MHz and memory clock of 1,998 MHz DDR) or overclocking mode (internal clock of 666 MHz, shader clock of 1,476 MHz and memory clock of 2,268 MHz DDR). This product features the second version of the Calibre Fly cooler, which has four copper heat-pipes, an aluminum base and two 80-mm fans, 896 MB GDDR3 (448-bit interface), 216 shader units and two dual DVI-I connectors. No word on pricing and availability.

nVidia Announces its First 40-nm GPUs

nVidia has just announced the launch of its first mobile GPUs based on the new 40-nm manufacturing technology. These chips support DirectX 10.1 and feature GDDR5 memories (some models). On the table below you can see the main specs for the announced GPUs. nVidia didn’t say when they will release desktop graphics cards based on 40-nm manufacturing technology. Bear in mind that AMD/ATI has already launched its 40-nm desktop graphics card, the Radeon HD 4770.

NEC has announced the launch of a gigantic 43” monitor with a curved display. Called CRV43, this monitor has a native resolution of 2880x900, a contrast ratio of 10.000:1, a response time of 0.02 ms, brightness of 200 cd/m², DVI-D and HDMI connectors and USB ports. NEC CRV43 will reach the market next month costing USD 7,999.

Sparkle has announced the launch of GeForce GTX 285 Plus, a factory-overclocked video card based on nVidia GeForce GTX 285 GPU that comes with an Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme cooler (107 aluminum fins, five copper heatpipes and three 92-mm fans with speed ranging from 1,000 rpm to 2,000 rpm). This card works internally at 666 MHz (2.78% above default clock of 648 MHz), accesses its 1 GB GDDR3 at 2,520 MHz (5% above default clock of 2,400 MHz DDR) thru a 512-bit interface, its 240 shader units run at 1,512 MHz (2.44% above default clock of 1,476 MHz) and it has two DVI connectors. No word on pricing and availability.

MSI Debuts ''Green'' GeForce 9800 GT Video Cards

MSI has announced the launch of its “Green” GeForce 9800 GT video card series that according to the manufacturer consumes 25% less power than the original GeForce 9800 GT. Compared to the standard GeForce 9800 GT, the “Green” version from MSI works internally with a lower clock rate (550 MHz vs. 600 MHz on original version) and accesses its 512 MB (N9800GT-MD512 model) or 1 GB (N9800GT-MD1G model) GDDR3 at 1,800 MHz DDR (900 MHz real – the same clock used by original GeForce 9800 GT) thru a 256-bit interface. MSI GeForce 9800 GT “Green” also has a VGA, Dual-DVI and HDMI connectors, one tantalum solid capacitor (the best kind of capacitor), aluminum solid caps and solid state chokes. No word on pricing and availability.
