MSI Releases Radeon HD 5770 with Over Voltage Function

MSI has just unveiled R5770-PMD1G, a video card based on Radeon HD 5770 GPU that comes with an over voltage function for GPU (1.300 V max), a neat feature that will certainly please overclockers. This card uses HD 5770 stock clocks (850 MHz for GPU and 4.8 GHz QDR for memory), has 1 GB GDDR5, a cooler equipped with a 80-mm fan with speed controlled via PWM and DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. No word on pricing yet.

PowerColor has expanded its PCS series of video cards with the launch of a factory-overclocked Radeon HD 5770 called PCS+ HD5770. This new PowerColor video card works internally at 875 MHz (2.94% above stock clock of 850 MHz), has 1 GB GDDR5 accessed at 4.9 GHz QDR (2.08% above stock clock of 4.8 GHz QDR) through a 128-bit interface, has two DVI, one HDMI and one DisplayPort connectors, and comes with a cooler equipped with two 92-mm fans. By buying this card you also take home the game DiRT2. PowerColor PCS+ HD5770 will be available on Dec. 18th. No word on pricing.

Sapphire Launches Radeon HD 5770 Vapor-X

Sapphire has expanded their Radeon HD 5000 series with the launch of the video card Radeon HD 5770 equipped with Vapor-X cooler (vapor chamber technology; according to the manufacturer it is more efficient than the stock cooler). This card comes with a modest factory-overclocking working internally at 860 MHz (1.18% above default clock of 850 MHz) accessing its 1 GB GDDR5 at 4.8 GDDR (the same clock as the reference model). This card also has two DVI, one HDMI and one DisplayPort connectors. No word on pricing and availability.

Sparkle Launches Low Profile GeForce GTS 250

Sparkle has launched a low profile version of the GeForce GTS 250 targeted to users of HTPC (Home Theater PC) systems. This card works internally at 600 MHz (23% lower than regular clock of 738 MHz), accesses its 512 MB or 1 GB GDDR3 at 1.6 GHz DDR (512 MB model; 25% lower than regular clock of 2 GHz) or 1.8 GHz DDR (1 GB model, 22.22% lower than regular clock of 2.2 GHz) through a 256-bit interface, has DVI and HDMI connectors, is 2 3/8" (6 cm) tall (half the height of GeForce GTS 250 reference model) and requires additional power via one 6-pin PCIe connector. No word on pricing and availability.

AMD/ATI launched today Radeon HD 5970 video card. Featuring two 40-nm GPUs running at 725 MHz, this new video card has 2 GB GDDR5 accessed at 4 GHz QDR (1 GHz real) through two 256-bit interfaces (512-bit), 3,200 processors (1,600 per GPU), two DVI and one mini DisplayPort outputs, a maximum TDP of 284 W and supports DirectX 11, CrossFireX and ATI Eyefinity technologies. Below you can see a list of the manufacturers who already launched models based on this new AMD/ATI video card.

NVIDIA Launches GeForce GT 240

NVIDIA has just launched one more 40-nm desktop GPU, GeForce GT 240. This new chip works internally at 550 MHz, accesses its 1 GB or 512 MB at 1,700 MHz GDDR5 (3.6 GHz QDR), 1,000 MHz GDDR3 (2 GHz DDR) or 900 MHz DDR3 (1.8 GHz DDR) through a 128-bit interface, has 96 processors running at 1,340 MHz and supports DirectX 10.1 and OpenGL 3.2 programming models. Below you can see a list of the manufacturers who already unveiled models based on this new NVIDIA GPU.

PowerColor has announced the launch of PLAY! HD5770 video card featuring a cooler from Arctic Cooling (copper base and two 92-mm fans) and Radeon HD 5770 GPU. This card uses Radeon HD 5770 standard clocks i.e., internal clock of 850 MHz, 1 GB GDDR5 accessed at 4.8 GHz QDR (1,200 MHz real) through a 128-bit interface, has 800 processors and DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. According to PowerColor this video card will reach the market by the end of this month costing USD 159.

Sapphire Announces Vapor-X HD 5870 and HD 5750 Video Cards

Sapphire has announced its Radeon HD 5870 and HD 5750 video cards featuring the their Vapor-X cooler (vapor chamber technology). Both cards are factory-overclocked (just a little bit, by the way), has two DVI connectors, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs and come with the DirectX-11 based game Dirt 2. Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X works internally at 870 MHz (2.35% above default clock of 850 MHz) and has 1 GB GDDR5 accessed at 5 GHz QDR (4.17% above default clock of 4.8 GHz QDR). Radeon HD 5750 Vapor-X works internally at 710 MHz (1.43% above default clock of 700 MHz) and has 1 GB GDDR5 accessed at 4.640 GHz QDR (0.87% above default clock of 4.6 GHz QDR). No word on pricing.
