NVIDIA has just officially launched their first DirectX 11 video cards: GeForce GTX 480 and GTX 470. Both feature CUDA, PhysX, 3D Vision Surround and 3-way SLI, and have two DVI and one mini HDMI connectors. GeForce GTX 480 works internally at 700 MHz, has 1,536 MB GDDR5 accessed at 3,696 MHz QDR through a 384-bit interface, 480 processors running at 1,401 MHz and TDP of 250 W. It has a suggested price of USD 499. Sapphire has announced the expansion of their TOXIC video card line-up with the launch of a Radeon HD 5850 equipped with 2 GB GDDR5 (reference model has “only” 1 GB). This factory-overclocked card makes use of Vapor-X cooler, featuring vapor chamber technology and that according to the manufacturer it is more efficient than the stock cooler.
