MSI has announced the availability of the X460 and X460DX laptops, which were previously launched in early July. Both units are part of MSI’s X-Slim Series and come with a 14-inch display (1366 x 768) and an Intel processor based on the Sandy Bridge architecture.

The X460 is equipped with a Core i7-2630QM (2 GHz) CPU; Intel HD 3000 integrated video; a 750 GB hard drive; support for WiDi (Wireless Display) 2.0, a technology that enables users to connect their laptops to any TV set using standard Wi-Fi; and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit operating system pre-installed.

The X460DX is equipped with a Core i3-2310M (2.1 GHz) or a Core i5-2410M (2.3 GHz) CPU, a GeForce GT 540M 1GB video card, a 500 GB hard drive, and Windows 7 Premium 64-bit operating system pre-installed.

They share the same set of features such as up to 6 GB of DDR3 memory, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, a DVD writer, two USB 3.0 ports, a six-cell battery providing up to eight hours of autonomy, and VGA and HDMI video outputs.

Both models are currently available with prices starting at USD 799.99.
