ASUS is another company trying to join iPad’s bandwagon, with its Eee Pad. During this Computex, they displayed two models that actually bring something new to the table, the Eee Pad Transformer (TF101) and the Eee Pad Slider (SL101). The Eee Pad Transformer can be transformed into a netbook computer by the addition of an optional detachable keyboard. It runs Google’s Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) operating system supporting Adobe Flash 10.3 and has a 178-degree viewing angle display. The Eee Pad Slider, on the other hand, has a “hidden” physical keyboard underneath it, which can be slid out to be used for typing. This model is based on NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor, has a 1280x800 display, and USB, mini HDMI, and MicroSD ports. click to enlarge
