Computex 2011: ASUS Showcases the Eee Pad Tablets

During this Computex, they displayed two models that actually bring something new to the table, the Eee Pad Transformer (TF101) and the Eee Pad Slider (SL101). The Eee Pad Transformer can be transformed into a netbook computer by the addition of an optional detachable keyboard. It runs Google’s Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) operating system supporting Adobe Flash 10.3 and has a 178-degree viewing angle display. The Eee Pad Slider, on the other hand, has a “hidden” physical keyboard underneath it, which can be slid out to be used for typing. ASUS Introduces Eee Pad Transformer

The portable features a 10.1” touchscreen display, comes with an NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU (1 GHz), 1 GB of memory, 32 or 64 GB of flash storage, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-fi, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, 3G (optional), two cameras (1.2 Mpixels on the front and 5 Mpixels on the back), GPS, two USB 2.0 ports, a micro SD card reader, and a mini HDMI 1.3a output. The device runs on an Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system (specific to tablets). The docking station extends the Transformer’s 9.5 hours of battery life for up to 16 hours. MSI Announces Wind U160MX Netbook
