NZXT has just announced its newest mid-tower case targeted to gamers, Tempest EVO. Built-up in steel and all-black painted, this case has three 5 ¼” external bays (or up to six if you remove the hard disk drive cage), one 3 ½” external bay, eight 3 ½” internal bays for hard disk drives, seven slots for expansion cards, two USB ports, one eSATA port, watercooling support, acrylic-side panel and holes on the motherboard tray to route cables. As for cooling, Tempest EVO comes with six fans: two of 120-mm one the front panel (blue LED), one of 120-mm no the rear panel, one of 120-mm on the side panel (blue LED) and two of 140-mm on the top panel. This case is priced at USD 99.

Akasa Launches Freedom Xone Mid-tower Case

Akasa has launched Freedom Xone mid-tower case (AK-BKXNE-01). Featuring four 5 ¼” external bays, one 3 ½” external bay, five 3 ½” internal bays and seven slots for expansion cards, this new case from Akasa is built-up in zinc-coated steel (SECC) and measures 17.51” x 7.87” x 18.97” or 44.5 cm x 20 cm x 48.2 cm (H x W x D). As for cooling, Freedom comes with a 120-mm fan on the frontal panel (1,200 rpm; white LED), one 140-mm fan on the top panel (1,000 rpm) and supports the installation of three optional 120-mm fans (two on the side panel and one on the rear panel). This case has two USB ports, one eSATA port, tool-less mechanism for hard drive installation and water-cooling support. No word on pricing and availability.

Enermax Announces NAPPA Series of External HDD Enclosure

Enermax has just announced its newest hard drives enclosure series, NAPPA. Enclosures from this series feature an aluminum body wrapped into black (EB210S-B model) or brown (EB210S-BN model) leather, measure 0.55” x 3.14” x 5” or 1.4 cm x 8 cm x 12.8 (H x W x D), support 2.5” SATA SSDs or hard drives (4,500 rpm to 7,200 rpm), have USB 2.0 interface and are priced at USD 18. Buying one of the NAPPA enclosures you also take home a water-resistant carrying bag and a mini screwdriver.

Thermaltake Debuts Element V Full-tower Case

Thermaltake just unveiled its newest full-tower case specially designed for gamers. Element V (VL20001W2Z) is built-up in zinc-coated steel, measures 21” x 8 ¾” x 21 1/8” (H x W x D), weights 37.5 Lbs (17 Kg), has five 5 ¼” external bays, six 3 ½” internal bays, one 2.5” internal bay, seven slots for expansion cards, two 120-mm frontal fans, one 200-mm top fan, one 230-mm on the left panel, one 120-mm on the rear panel and supports a 200-mm or 120-mm optional fan on the top panel or two 50-mm optional fans on the rear panel. Element V also comes with a with a controller for the fans where you can adjust not only the speed from the fans, but also the LED color and blinking pattern, four USB ports, one eSATA port and supports watercooling systems. Its suggested price is USD 170.

New Mid-tower Case from NZXT

NZXT has just launched its newest mid-tower case targeted to gamers, Gamma. Built-up in steel and all-black painted (even internally), Gamma has four 5 ¼” external bays, seven 3 ½” internal bays, seven slots for expansion cards, meshed side panel, tool-less mechanism for hard drives installation and water-cooling support. Gamma comes with a 120-mm rear fan (23 dB/42 CFM), but supports up to five optional fans (one on of 120-mm on the front panel, two of 120-mm on the side panel and two of 120- or 140-mm on the top panel. Gamma is now available in Europe at € 39.90.

NZXT Unveils Lexa S Mid-tower Case

NZXT has announced the launch of its newest mid-tower case targeted to gamers, Lexa S. Lexa S comes with a 120-mm front fan (23 dB/42 CFM), a 120-mm (1,200 rpm/23 dB/42 CFM) side fan that glow in blue when turned on, a 140-mm top fan (support for an optional 140/120 mm fan) and a 120-mm rear fan (23 dB/42 CFM). Lexa S will reach the market this month with a suggested price of USD 70.

Lian Li Launches PC-B25F Mid-tower Case

Lian Li recently announced PC-B25F mid-tower case. Featuring three 5 ¼” external bays (one of them can be converted into a 3 ½” bay), six 3 ½” internal bays and eight slots for expansion cards, this new case from Lian Lin is made entirely in aluminum and measures 8.26” x 19.48” x 19.29” or 21 cm x 49,5 cm x 49 cm (W x H x D). As for cooling, PC-B25F comes with three 120-mm fans (two on the front panel and one on the rear panel; 1,200 rpm) and two 140-mm fans on the top panel (1,000 rpm). Its side, top and front panels are removable and the slot covers are meshed in order to improve air flow. This case has anti-vibration mechanisms for hard drives and tool-less mechanisms for hard drives and daughter cards installation. PC-B25F will reach the market in the middle of September a suggested price of USD 190.

Thermaltake has just launched its newest mid-tower case, WingRS 301. Equipped with four 5 ¼” external bays, one 3 ½” external bay, four 3 ½” internal bays and seven slots for expansion cards, this new case features tool-less mechanisms for hard drives and daughter cards installation, a handle available on its top part to allow users to easily transport their computer, a 120-mm rear fan (1,300 rpm; 17 dBA) and a place on its front panel for a 120-mm optional fan. WingRS 301 case is available in two versions: with or without a 430 W power supply. No word on pricing and availability.

Lian Li Launches Tyr PC-X1000 Full-tower Case

Lian Li has launched a full-tower case called Tyr PC-X1000. All built-up in aluminum, this new case features three 5 ¼” external bays (one of them can be converted to a 3 ½” bay), six 3 ½” internal bays and eight slots for expansion cards. Tyr PC-X1000 has several features like removable motherboard tray, watercooling support, anti-vibration mechanism for power supply, tool-less mechanisms for daughter cards, hard drives and motherboard installation, dust filter on the case base, no sharp edges where you could cut yourself while assembling the PC and is divided in chambers to improve airflow. As for cooling, Tyr PC-X1000 comes with Five 140-mm fans (1,200 rpm), three located on the front panel and two located on the rear panel. This case has four USB, one Firewire and one e-SATA connectors, besides the traditional audio jacks. According to Lian Li this case will reach the market later this month costing USD 420.

NZXT Announces Beta EVO Mid-Tower Case

NZXT has just announced the launch of their latest mid-tower case, Beta EVO. Built-up in steel and all-black painted (even internally), Beta EVO has four 5 ¼” external bays, five 3 ½” internal bays, seven slots for expansion cards, water-cooling support and tool-less mechanisms for hard drive installation. Beta EVO doesn’t come with any fans, but it support up to six 120-mm fans (one on the rear panel, two on the top panel, one on the front panel e other two on the side panel) and one 140-mm fan on the top panel. The motherboard tray is cut below where the CPU is located, facilitating the replacement of the CPU cooler if you decide to install a CPU cooler that requires the change of the hardware located behind the motherboard. According to NZXT Beta EVO case will reach the market next month costing USD 49.99.

New HTPC Case from SilverStone

SilverStone has announced the launch of its latest HTPC case (Home Theater PCs; designed to be used in computers connected to home theater systems in order to play movies and music), GD03. It is made of zinc-coated steel, but its front panel is made of aluminum. This case features two 5 ¼” external bays, three 3 ½” external bays (two allowing hard drive hot-swapping), five 3 ½” internal bays and seven slots for expansion cards. As for cooling, GD03 comes with two 80-mm fans (2.050 RPM; 21 dBA) and places for two 80-mm optional fans on the front panel and two 80-mm optional fans on the side panel. No word on pricing and availability.

Lian Li has just announced the launch of mid-tower case PC-8N. Featuring four 5 ¼” external bays, one 3 ½” external bay, three 3 ½” internal bays and seven slots for expansion cards, this new case from Lian Lin is made entirely in aluminum, weights 10.22 lbs (4.64 Kg) and measures 8.26” x 17.71” x 19.29” or 210 mm x 450 mm x 490 mm (W x H x D). As for cooling, PC-8N comes with two 120-mm fans (one on the rear panel and one on the front panel) with fan speed of 1,200 rpm. Its side, top and front panels are removable and the slot covers are meshed in order to improve air flow. This case has anti-vibration mechanisms for hard drives and will reach the market by the end of the next month costing USD 109.

Enermax has just unveiled Staray, a mid-tower case equipped with the newest Apollish fans. It is made of zinc-coated steel (a.k.a. “SECC”), has four 5 ¼” external bays, one 3 ½” external bay, six 3 ½” internal bays, seven slots for expansion cards, tool-less mechanisms for hard drive installation and watercooling support. This case is available in two models: ECA3071-BR-AP (three 120-mm Apollish fans with red LED, one located on the front panel and two located on the side panel; place for one optional 120/90/80-mm fan on the rear panel; MSRP of USD 70) and ECA3070-BL (one 120-mm Apollish fan with blue LED located on the front panel; place for one optional 120/90/80-mm fan on the rear panel and for two optional 140/120-mm fans on the side panel; MRSP of USD 55). Staray case also comes with two USB ports and a speed controller for the front panel fan.

NZXT Announces M59 Gaming Case

NZXT has just announced its newest case targeted to gamers, M59. Featuring four 5 ¼” external bays and seven 3 ½” internal bays, this new NZXT mid-tower case has an aggressive looks, being totally painted in black (even inside) and having an acrylic side panel. It is made of steel, its front panel is meshed to improve airflow, the motherboard tray has holes to route cables (keeping the interior of the case organized, thus improving airflow), supports watercooling system installation and has seven slots for expansion cards (slot covers are meshed to improve airflow). As for cooling, M59 has a 120-mm frontal fan and one 120-mm side fan (with a LED) and places for two 140- or 120-mm optional fans on the top panel and for one 120-mm optional fan on the rear panel. This case has two USB ports and one eSATA port. M59 will reach the market next month costing USD 59.99.
