OCZ has launched a new line of power supply units aimed at gamers. The SLI-ready GameXStream, available with 600 W and 700 W capacities, are equipped with 120 mm fan and includes 24-pin ATX, dual PCI Express, 4/8-pin CPU, SATA (six), 4-pin floppy (two) and 4-pin peripheral (six) connectors. The blue-lit PSUs also feature active Power Factor Correction (PFC) to regulate input voltage.

ThermalTake has just released world's first VGA power supply. Called Purepower Power Express 250 W, it is an active PFC 250 W power supply that fits any 5 ¼” bay for you to feed your two SLI or CrossFire video cards.

New ATX 12V 2.0 PSUs from Thermaltake

Power Thermaltake has released three new PSUs matching Intel’s ATX 12 V 2.0 standard: TR2-420W, TR2-470W and TR2-500W. All models are equipped with 120 mm low-noise fans and include 20+4 connectors, one set of PCI Express connectors and 2/4 SATA power connectors. The TR2-500W has a special set of led lights that indicate when the power supply is running appropriately (green) or on standby (orange).

Thermaltake releases PurePower 520W

Power Thermaltake released the PurePower PST520W, a modularized power supply unit, conforming to ATX 12V 2.0 standard. It includes dual 6-pin PCI Express connectors and the power surge box provides six sets of standard 4-pin molex connectors, two sets of floppy drive power connectors and four sets of SATA power connectors. A smaller surge box adds four sets of 4-pin molex and two sets of 3-pin connectors that provide power for the fans and other accessories. Optional itens include active PFC and led fan.

New 550 W PSU from Cooler Master

Power Cooler Master has announced its new Real Power 550W power supply unit supporting ATX 12V 2.01 and SSI standard EPS 12V V2.1. It includes a PCI Express connector and an intelligent fan speed control promising noise levels below 23 dBA. The PSU also supports +12V1, +12V2 and + 12V3 outputs for higher power usage. Users can check the status of power consumption through a blue display.

Antec releases TruePower 2.0 PSUs

Power Antec released a new line of power supplies called TruePower 2.0 promising a noise level of 21 dBA.The PSUs, available in a variety of wattages, come with a single 120 mm fan and dedicated fan-only power connectors. Other features include dual 12V outputs and voltage feedback circuitry. The PSUs have four serial ATA connectors and a PCI Express graphic card power connector. A detachable 4-pin section ensures backwards compatibility with ATX 20-pin motherboards.

OCZ Technology announced the release of the ModStream power supply family. The PSUs are equipped with OCZ EZMod technology, a cable management system that allows customization by utilizing only the UV glowing cables the user requires, resulting in optimal airflow and elimination of cable mazes. The units also sport PowerWhisper technology to reduce noise generated by its 120 mm fan and PowerShield EMI control technology with copper shielded power leads to provide current stabilization. Enclosed in titanium cases, the ModStream products are available in 450 and 520 watts versions with peak loads of 550 and 620 watts.

Antec launches fanless power supply

Antec launched a fanless 350 watt power supply called Phantom. According to the company its high efficiency circuitry reduces excess heat and its aluminum casing acts as a heatsink, eliminating the need for moving parts. The Phantom 350 includes features such as dedicated voltage outputs, advanced voltage-feedback circuitry and dual +12V output circuits. It comes with two SATA connectors and a six-pin PCI Express connector.
