Scythe has launched the Chouriki 2 series of power supplies, which is available in 650 W, 750 W, 850 W, and 1,000 W models. These new units comes in modular or non-modular flavors, are compatible with ATX12V 2.3 and EPS12V standards, have 80 Plus Silver certification, protections against overcurrent (OCP), overvoltage (OVP), overpower (OPP), short-circuit (SCP), undervoltage (UVP), and overtemperature (OTP), and are cooled by a 135-mm fan (Kama Flex model: 1,350 rpm). As for aesthetics, Chouriki 2 units feature sleeved cables and a brushed steel surface. Below you can check out the suggested prices of these new power supplies.

Enermax has expanded its LibertyECO II series of power supplies with the launch of the 720 W model. This new unit is compatible with the ATX12V v2.3 standard, has 80 Plus Standard certification, a modular cabling system, active PFC, three +12 V rails, one 120-mm fan that keeps working up to 60 seconds after power supply shut down, and protections against over voltage (OVP), under voltage (UVP), over current (OCP), over power (OPP), over temperature, and short-circuit (SCP). The LibertyECO II 720W has a suggested price of USD 139.90.

Thermaltake has launched Toughpower Grand series of power supplies. Comprised of 650 W (TPG-650M) and 750 W (TPG-750M) models, these new units are compatible with ATX12V V2.3 and EPS12V V2.92 standards, have modular cabling system, active PFC, 80 Plus Gold certification, a +12 V single rail design, DC-DC design, Japanese caps, protections against over voltage (OVP), under voltage (UVP), over current (OCP), over power (OPP) and short-circuit (SCP), and are cooled by a 140-mm fan. Antec Announces High Current Pro PSU Series

Antec has announced High Current Pro series of power supplies, which includes 750 W, 850 W, 1000 W and 1200 W models. These new units have 80 Plus Gold certification, active PFC circuit, DC-DC design, four +12 V rails (five in the case of 1000 W and 1200 W models), a 135-mm fan (1200 W has also an 80-mm fan on the rear part) and Japanese caps. High Current Pro PSUs will reach the market next month.

Cooler Master has launched Silent Pro Gold series of power supply. A-Data, a Taiwanese memory and storage manufacturer, has just entered the power supply market with the launch of Horus series. Comprised with 550 W, 650 W, 750 W, 850 W and 1,200 W models, these new units from A-Data are compatible with ATX12V v2.92 standard, have 80 Plus Bronze certification, +12 V single rail design (1,200 W model make use of two +12 V rails), modular cabling system, Japanese caps and a LED fan with 3 colors to display output power (0%~50% Green light, 50%~100% Blue light, Over 100% Red light). Thermaltake has expanded its Litepower series of power supply with the launch of the following models: 350 W (W0363 and W0367), 450 W (W0361 and W0362) and 550 W (W0369). These new units are compatible with ATX12V 2.2 standard, feature two +12 V rails, active PFC (except on 350 W W0363 and 450 W W0362 models), a 120-mm fan (80-mm on 350 W models) and protections against over voltage, over power and short-circuit. Thermaltake has expanded their Toughpower XT series of power supplies with the launch of 575 W (USD 109), 675 W (USD 135), 775 W (USD 145) and 875 W (USD 159) models. These new units are compliant with ATX12V 2.3 and EPS12V 2.91 standards, have 80 Plus Bronze certification (efficiency up to 89%), use a DC-DC converter, a single +12 V rail design, have active PFC circuit, a set of three LEDs that gives you basic status about the power supply working conditions, and a switch where you can configure the power supply fan (140 mm; 1,900 rpm) to keep spinning for 15 or 30 seconds after you turn off your PC. These new Toughpower XT units should reach the market soon.

Mushkin Lauches Volta and Joule PSU Series

Mushkin has just officially launched Volta and Joule power supply series. Volta series includes models of 500 W and 600 W (that we’ve already reviewed) and Joule series includes more powerful models of 1,000 W and 1,200 W. These units comes with modular cabling system, active PFC and a 120-mm fan that glows in either blue, red or green (a switch allows the users to select the desired color). Units from Volta series have a project with only one +12V rail, while models from Joule series have a design with six +12V rails. 500 W and 600 W from Volta series are priced at USD 80 and USD 90, respectively, while 1,000 W and 1,200 W from Joule series are priced at USD 225 and USD 250, respectively.
