Thermaltake Technology released the W0131, a 850 W power supply with active PFC. The new model from Toughpower family has high efficiency (83%) at all times and four independent lines of +12V. The maximum total current output is 62 A on +12V rails. It also features a 14 cm dual ball-bearing fan.

OCZ Announces EvoStream Power Supply

OCZ announced the EvoStream Power Supply in a 600W configuration. It features an internal 80 mm fan, two PCI-Express cables and a 4/8 CPU auxiliary connector, high efficiency (75%) and four +12V rails. Compatible with ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V motherboards.

SeaSonic Electronics introduces the new S12 ENERGY+ power supplies in two new models, the S12 Energy+550 and the S12 Energy+650. It incorporates a Dual Magnetic Amplifier circuit to achieve a 3% regulation on the 12VDC rails and has a super high efficiency (up to 85%). The S12 ENERGY+ includes a 'Smart & Silent' Fan Control, a low noise 12cm ball bearing fan mounted on soft rubber cushions, and honey comb shaped ventilation holes to provide cooling and silence. ATX, BTX and EPS systems are supported with a 24-Pin (20 Pin convertible), 4-Pin and 8-Pin mainboard connectors.

The manufacturer has also introduced the new M12 series power supplies with detachable modular DC cables, available in three power levels, the M12-500, M12-600 and the M12-700. The M12 power supplies maintain a 3% tolerance on the all important 12VDC. All the models have a super high Efficiency (up to 85%) and a smart thermal control to balance noise and cooling.

Corsair Launches HX PSU Series

Enthusiast memory maker Corsair this week entered the PSU market with a series of products called HX. The two initial models are available with 520 W and 620 W capacities. The units feature a modular design that eliminates cable clusters and optimizes airflow. Triple +12V rails offer combined maximum output rating of 50 Amp (620 W) and 40 Amp (520 W). Equipped with a 120 mm fan, the PSUs support ATX12V v2.2/2.01 and EPS12V 2.91. The 620 W model includes eight Serial ATA connectors (only four on the 520 W).

Mushkin Launches 550 W Power Supply

Power After releasing the enthusiast-aimed XP-650, Mushkin now adds a 550 W power supply unit for mainstream users, the HP-550. It is compatible with ATX, ATX12V, EPS and BTX standards (20/24-pin ATX, 4/8-pin +12V) and includes two PCI Express cables as well as eight SATA power connectors. The device adjusts fan speed according to system load and provides ultra-low ripple (1%) and superior voltage regulation (1%) under all load levels. The different +12V rails can be automatically combined to form a single power rail.

OCZ Launches GameXStream PSU Line

OCZ has launched a new line of power supply units aimed at gamers. The SLI-ready GameXStream, available with 600 W and 700 W capacities, are equipped with 120 mm fan and includes 24-pin ATX, dual PCI Express, 4/8-pin CPU, SATA (six), 4-pin floppy (two) and 4-pin peripheral (six) connectors. The blue-lit PSUs also feature active Power Factor Correction (PFC) to regulate input voltage.

New ATX 12V 2.0 PSUs from Thermaltake

Power Thermaltake has released three new PSUs matching Intel’s ATX 12 V 2.0 standard: TR2-420W, TR2-470W and TR2-500W. All models are equipped with 120 mm low-noise fans and include 20+4 connectors, one set of PCI Express connectors and 2/4 SATA power connectors. The TR2-500W has a special set of led lights that indicate when the power supply is running appropriately (green) or on standby (orange).

Power Thermaltake released the PurePower PST520W, a modularized power supply unit, conforming to ATX 12V 2.0 standard. It includes dual 6-pin PCI Express connectors and the power surge box provides six sets of standard 4-pin molex connectors, two sets of floppy drive power connectors and four sets of SATA power connectors. A smaller surge box adds four sets of 4-pin molex and two sets of 3-pin connectors that provide power for the fans and other accessories. Optional itens include active PFC and led fan.

Power Cooler Master has announced its new Real Power 550W power supply unit supporting ATX 12V 2.01 and SSI standard EPS 12V V2.1. It includes a PCI Express connector and an intelligent fan speed control promising noise levels below 23 dBA. The PSU also supports +12V1, +12V2 and + 12V3 outputs for higher power usage. Users can check the status of power consumption through a blue display.
