Topower has just announced the launch of Tiger 1200 XLR (EP-1200W-P10-T2), a power supply, as its name suggests, able to deliver 1,200 W of power. This monster features a modular cabling system with rounded connectors and cables with EMI protection, provides efficiency above 80%, has active PFC, six +12V rails (click here to learn more about this subject) that can be combined into one rail via a external button, a 120-mm fan with speed controlled according to the unit temperature, and allows the installation of four high-end video cards configured in Quad SLI mode. Tiger 1200 XLR can be found on the market costing around USD 200.

Cooler Master Launches Universal Laptop Charger

Cooler Master has launched SNA 95, a universal laptop charger. The product measures 2.95” x 0,7” x 5.7” or 7.5 cm x 1.7 cm x 14,5 cm (W x H x D), provides efficiency up to 82% and comes with a series of nine different power plugs in order to match several different notebook models. Cooler Master SNA 95 also provides protections against overvoltage (OVP), short-circuit (SCP), over current (OCP), over temperature protection (OTP) and overload (OPP). This product can be found on the market priced at USD 69.99

Scythe Launches Kamariki 4 PSU Series

Power Scythe has just launched its latest PSU series, Kamariki 4. Available in 450 W, 550 W and 650 W models, power supplies from this series are ATX12V and EPS12V compliant, have efficiency of 80%, a 100-mm fan with fan speed adjusted according to the model – 1,350 rpm (450 W), 1,500 rpm (550 W) or 1,700 rpm (650 W) – come both in modular and non-modular cabling system versions and have protections against overvoltage (OVP), overcurrent (OPP) and short-circuit (SCP). According to Scythe 450 W, 550 W and 650 W models with modular cabling system are priced at USD 85, USD 97 and USD 117, respectively, while counterparts with no-modular cabling system are priced at USD 67,50, USD 85 and USD 105, respectively.

Enermax Launches ECO80+ PSU Series

Enermax has just unveiled its newest PSU series, called ECO80+. Available in 350 W, 400 W, 500 W and 620 W models, units from this new series feature active PFC, efficiency up to 86%, two +12 V rails (click here to learn more about this subject), a 120-mm fan with speed between 500 rpm and 2,000 rpm according to PSU’s internal temperature, and protections against overvoltage (OVP), overload (OPP), overcurrent (OCP), over temperature (OTP) and short-circuit (SCP). The 400 W, 400 W and 620 ECO80+ units will reach the market next month costing USD 79, USD 99 and USD 119, respectively. No word on the 300 W model.

Thermaltake Launches Universal Laptop Charger

Thermaltake has officially launched Toughpower Ultra Slim 65W (we’ve already seen this product during CES 2009), a universal laptop charger. The product measures 2.95” x 7” x 5.5” or 7.5 cm x 17.8 cm x 14 cm (W x H x D), weights 8.56 oz (214 g), provides above 82% efficiency and has 115 V/230 V auto voltage selection. It comes with a series of eight different power plugs in order to match several different notebook models and a switch for you to select the output voltage between 15 V and 21 V to allow you to feed practically all laptops available on the market. Toughpower Ultra Slim 65W also provides protections against over current, over voltage and short-circuit. Thermaltake didn’t say when and for how much it will reach the market.

BFG Announces EX-1200 PSU

BFG has just unveiled EX-1200 (BFGR1200WEXPSU), a 1,200 W power supply (at 40°C) compliant with the ATX12V 2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 standards and that features Frequency Conversion technology, which means this unit can emulate virtually any size power supply and therefore be at least 80% efficient, even with loads as low as 10% of the unit's maximum capacity. This unit also features modular cabling system, four 12 V rails, a 135-mm fan and protections against over-voltage, overload and short circuits. EX-1200 PSU is priced at USD 249.
