Arctic Cooling launches a new line of PWM fans with PST. An integrated motorized PWM amplifier enables the speed's regulation of up to 5 fans via the BIOS. Additionally vibrations generated by the rotating fan are absorbed by a vibration dampener, which results in low noise levels. The Arctic Fan PWM series is both RoHS and WEEE conform.
These three case fans have a 6 year warranty and will be available by mid of December. The MSRP is only USD 6.99 (80 mm), USD 7.99 (90 mm) and USD 10.99 (120 mm).
Cooler Master offers three brand new heat terminators-air coolers with an intelligent fan controller, that brings a silent mode to when consumers wish for quiet working environment. The Eclipse and Hyper TX models have a fan duct design, which leads the airflow directly to the CPU. Mars distributes the air in multi-directions, which cool CPU and its surrounding areas.
The Hyper TX series provide two versions to support AMD AM2 and Intel Core 2 Duo. Both have 90 mm fan and a fan speed between 650 and 180 RPM. It kepts a 41.76 CFM fan air flow and a sound pressure level of 22 dBA.
Eclipse supports the latest AMD AM2, Intel Core 2 Dual and Intel Core 2 extreme. The turbine fan works in three modes: PWM (with fan speed between 900 and 3000 RPM), Silent (1800 RPM) and Performance (3300 RPM). Has a 39.8 CFM of fan air flow and 17dB (minimum) sound pressure level.
Mars supports AMD Socket AM2 and Intel Core 2 Duo and comes with a special design of embedded fan with blue LED, enclosed in the dome shaped stacked fins accelerates the heat dissipation process. Also offers an intelligent fan speed controller (PWM /Silent / Performance Modes) to control the cooling performance. Its fan air flow is 55.3 CFM.
Asetek launched a low cost liquid cooling promissing to compete with high end air cooling. The flow rate reaches 60l/hour and has a rated voltage of 12 V DC. Noise level is less than 28 dB. Promises a 50,000 hours lifetime.
Thermaltake has launched the Tribe VX, a new external liquid cooling system which supports Intel BTX, LGA775, AMD AM2 and AMD K8 processors. Manufacturer guarantees that the 240mm all-aluminum radiator dissipate the heat as quickly as possible. The twin 120mm blue LED fans spin at 1400RPM and produce 16 dB of sound. Tribe VX has a 12V pump, a transparent indicator to observe the liquid level and an easy to refill liquid tank.
Arctic Cooling unveils Freezer 64 Pro with PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) fan control, compatible to AM2 socket of AMD, which supports dual core processors such as Athlon 64 FX-62 and 64 X2 5000+. With four rubber connectors on the fan case, which is used to absorb the vibration of the running fan, the noise level is reduced to a minimum, says Arctic Cooling. It has a low speed 92 mm fan. Manufacturer assures a 6 year warranty. It will be available in October. Recommended retail price: USD 35.
OCZ has officially released its anticipated Tempest CPU Cooler. The device features a pure copper base plate and quad copper heat pipes to transfer the heat into the aluminum fin array. The cooler, aimed at AMD 939/940/AM2 and Intel 775/478 processors, uses a 92 mm fan rotating at 2,500 rpm (CFM is 44.0) equipped with blue leds.
Danish company Asetek has launched a new external WaterChill water-cooling unit. Simply called Xternal, the device includes a Black Ice Pro 120 mm dual radiator, four 120 mm low noise Adda fans, a 12 V pump, a 160-cubic centimeter reservoir with viewing glass and a 20-character LCD module. The cooler, available in standard aluminum or black, measures 182x480x102 mm (7.17x18.9x4.01 inches) and weighs 4.27 kg (9.41 lbs). Users are able to control pump speed, adjust fans and set profiles through software. Suggested retail price is 289 euros.
Japanese cooler manufacturer Scythe released today an all-copper version of its Katana cooler. Called Katana Cu or SCKTN-CU1000, it fits all CPUs and has fan speed control. The heatsink of this cooler isn’t located right above its base, but posted in a 45-degree angle. The heat transfer between the base and the heatsink is done thru two heat-pipes.
Main Specs:
Model Name: Katana Cu CPU Cooler
Model #: SCKTN-CU1000
