Arctic Cooling releases the external 92mm fan, equipped with a low noise impeller. The fan comes with two levels of speed – 1200 rpm and 2000 rpm. It costs around USD 16.
Thermaltake rolls out a new series of DIY liquid cooling systems, the ProWater Series. The first model to be introduced is “PW850i” , which features a P500 Pump that guarantees a maximum high output of 500L per hour.
The PW850i also adopts an automotive style radiator and an adjustable 120mm fan (1300~2400 RPM). It is suitable for any type of demands in any system environment. They are now available and will retail for estimated street prices of USD 139.
Arctic Cooling launches the ARCTIC RC to lower temperature and extend the overclocking potential of memory module. It comes with a highly conductive pre-applied thermal tape to improve heat transfer from the memory module. Its long-fin design increases the surface area for heat dissipation. According to the manufacturer, the RAM temperature can drop up to 34°C. The ARCTIC RC is compatible with both DDR2 and DDR3 SDRAM modules. Priced at USD 14.95.
Arctic Cooling unveiled the Freezer 7 LP, a suitable cooler for small chassis. It has only 42mm slim and 263g light, almost half the size of usual CPU coolers. The cooler also features two heatpipes, 40 fins and 80mm PWM fan, with speed of 600 – 2000 RPM (controlled by PWM). Together with the highly thermal conductive pre-applied MX-2 thermal paste and voltage regulator cooling, the Freezer 7 LP is 20% cooler than the generic low profile cooler, says manufacturer.
The Freezer 7 LP is compatible with Intel Socket LGA775. It offers a 6-year limited warranty and will be available by mid-May for USD 27.95.
Moshi claims to have the world’s slimmest active MacBook cooler, Zefyr 13”. The model provides a direct heat conduction path between MacBook's bottom casing and Zefyr's cast aluminum heat sink assembly. Heat accumulated in the heat sink is expelled through the sides by a silent USB-powered fan (20dB).
Noctua presented its new CPU cooler NH-C12P. Equipped with 6 heat pipes and the NF-P12 120mm fan, the NH-C12P is also equipped with a wide fin spacing to guarantee optimal heat dissipation. Thanks to its two large Airflow-Gaps that provide additional cooling for near-socket motherboard components, the NH-C12P is perfectly suited for use in poorly ventilated desktop cases. The fan reaches 1300 RPM and produces an acoustic noise of 19,8 dB maximum. It is available for USD 69.90.
Sharkoon introduces the Sharkoon CoolBook 360, a cooling stand that provides users with a comfortable typing position and protects notebooks from dangerous overheating. The product is made for 12-17 inch notebooks and includes a swivel and adjustable notebook stand, allowing users to choose from one of four height settings. It also features two folding clips on the front of the stand to hold notebooks and an integrated 70mm fan.
The fan connects via USB to the notebook, rotates at 2300 RPM and produces only 20 decibels. The Sharkoon CoolBook 360 is made of lightweight plastic, weighs 585 grams and measures 320 x 300 x 25 mm. It is available first in Europe for the suggested retail price of 15 euros.
Thermaltake launched a new iXoft thermal pad integrated into a notebook carrying Bag, with anti-shock protection. The iXoft Bag 15” was produced with the patent iXoft cooling technology. The material melts into a gel state when heated and solidify into crystal state when cooled.
OCZ unveiled the OCZ Vendetta 2, a CPU cooler with 120mm fan design. Utilizing a distinctive stacked fin design and trend-setting heat-pipe direct touch (HDT) design combined with a large low-noise fan, the Vendetta 2 is built to solve the cooling challenges of today’s most powerful processors, says the manufacturer.
The 120mm fan has anti-vibration rubber connectors to reduce excess noise, creating a noise level of just 20-32 dBA. The fan speed is 800-1500 RPM. The Vendetta 2 has direct contact with the processor using three copper heat pipes. It is compatible with AMD AM2/939/754/755 and Intel 775 sockets.
ASUS announces the latest Square Series CPU Cooler – the Lion Square, inspired by the Sword Lion shield (according to ASUS, the Sword Lion is named after the legend of the Sword Lion, which is the emblem of strength, courage and good fortune).
The new cooler features double-sided high density wave fins, dynamic fan speed control and four copper heat pipes to deliver quiet and high-performance heat dissipation from the Intel Core2 Extreme / Core2 Quad / Quad-Core CPU and AMD Athlon64 FX/X2 Dual-Core processors. It has dimensions of 126(L) x 126(W) x 144(H) mm and weights 730 g. Its fan has speed of 2,300 rpm ± 10% (PWM) and measures 92 x 92 x 25.
