Antec has expanded its cooling products line-up with the launch of Notebook Cooler 200 (0761345-75019-6), a cooler designed for laptops. This product is equipped with a 200-mm fan (with fan speed of 400 rpm or 600 rpm producing a noise level up to 27.1 dBA) that glows in blue when is turned on, is powered via USB (thus no batteries or power adapters are necessary) and weights 53.3 oz (1.52 Kg). Its MSRP is of USD 90.
Intel hasn’t even launched its Core i7 processor (codenome Nehalem) yet and Nexus has already announced the launch of two CPU coolers compatible with socket 1,366 used by this forthcoming processor: LOW-7000 and FLC-3000. Both products have four heat-pipes made of copper connecting their copper base to cooler’s aluminum fins. LOW-7000 features a 120-mm fan where fan speed (500 rpm to 2,000 rpm) is controlled the motherboard via PWM, produces a noise level up to 24 dBA and is compatible with Intel processors sockets 775/1366. FLC-3000, on the other hand, features a 92-mm fan where fan speed (900 rpm to 2,500 rpm) is also controlled the motherboard via PWM, produces a noise level up to 24 dBA and is compatible with Intel and AMD processors sockets 775/1366/AM2. No word on pricing.
Thermaltake has just unveiled WB200 (CL-W0182), a water block (part used on liquid cooling systems) designed for northbridges chips. This product is made of cooper, weights 3.37 oz (95.5 g), features 3/8” hose connectors and measures 40(L) X 40(W) X 8.6(H). WB200 probably will reach the market later this month and information about its price was not disclosed.
OCZ has expanded its cooling product line with the launch of CPU coolers Gladiator (OCZTGLAD) and Gladiator Max (OCZTGLADM). The main difference between them is the size and weight. Gladiator uses a 92-mm fan (with fan speed range from 1,200 rpm to 2,800 rpm) and weights 19.40 oz (550 g), while Gladiator Max uses a 120-mm fan (with fan speed range from 800 rpm to 1,500 rpm) and weights 27.51 oz (780 g). Both fans feature a noise level of 26.8 dBA. Gladiator coolers feature four copper heap-pipes connecting their base to the cooler’s aluminum fins and they’re compatible with Intel (socket 775) and AMD (sockets 754/755/939/940/AM2) processors. No word about pricing and availability.
Scythe has just launched Kaze Maru, a 140-mm case fan series which is a great option for the users willing to improve airflow inside their system. Three models were launched within this series: SY1425SL12L (500 rpm and 10.80 dBA), SY1425SL12M (1,200 rpm and 26.58 dBA) and SY1425SL12H (1,900 rpm and 41.13 dBA). Despite of being 140-mm fans they can fit in 120-mm holders. You can even replace the existing 120-mm fan on your CPU cooler (if your CPU cooler uses a 120-mm fan, of course) with one of Kaze Maru fans, thus improving the airflow inside your case. It's MSRP is of US$ 19.99.
ASUS has just unveiled Royal Knight, a CPU cooler compatible with Intel (socket 775) and AMD (sockets 1207/AM2/AM2+) processors. Its base is made of copper with six heat-pipes connecting its base to the cooler’s cooper fins. Royal Knight weight 27.87 oz (790 g) and it uses a 120-mm fan which speed is automatically controlled (800-1,300 rpm) by the system according to CPU’s temperature. No word about pricing and availability.
