Arctic Cooling has just launched Alpine 64 Pro, a simple CPU cooler designed for AMD processors based on AM3/AM2+/AM2/939 sockets. This cooler has a 92-mm fan where the speed is automatically controlled (500-2,000 rpm) by the motherboard via PWM. Alpine 64 Pro weight 428 g (15.09 oz) and will likely reach the market next month costing USD 10.90.

Scythe Launches Kaze Q 3.5“ Fan Controller

Scythe has launched its newest fan controller, Kaze Q 3.5". This product takes one of 3 ½" bays available on the computer case, is colored either black or silver, and can control up to four fans. Its MSRP is of USD 16.75.

Noctua has launched NF-S12B, a 120-mm with “bite” blades to reduce noise level and increase air flow. According to Noctua this blade design increases air flow by 10% compared to standard fans. NF-S12B is available in two versions: NF-S12B FLX, fan speed of 1,200 rpm, 900 rpm or 600 rpm, and NF-S12B ULN, fan speed of 700 rpm or 500 rpm. This fan is priced at USD 24.90.

Lian Li Releases Notebook Cooler

Lian Li has rolled out NC-09, a cooler compatible with laptops featuring 12.1”, 14”, 15” or 17” display. This aluminum anodized cooler has a 220-mm fan (that glows in blue), two USB ports, one mini-USB connector (that can be used by 5 V cell phone chargers), is powered via a USB port (thus no batteries or power adapters are necessary) and can be adjusted with three different height levels. NC-09 measures 15.74” x 13.26” x 1.33” (W x D x H) and will probably reach the market by the end of next month costing USD 70.

Thermaltake Announces V14AX CPU Cooler

Thermaltake has announced the launch of V14AX (CL-P0523), a CPU cooler designed for Intel (sockets 775/1366) and AMD (sockets AM2/AM2+) processors. Its base is made of copper with six heat-pipes connecting it to the two structures featuring aluminum fins. Between these structures there is a 140-mm fan that glows in blue when the system is turned on. The fan speed can be manually adjusted (1,000 rpm to 1,600 rpm) through a knob that can be installed on the back of the case in any available expansion slot. V14AX weight 1.39 lbs (631 g) and has the following dimensions: 6.33” x 3.93” x 6.73” or 161 mm x 100 mm x 171 mm (L x W x H). This cooler will reach the market soon priced at USD 59.

Spire Launches VertiCool II Pro CPU Cooler

Spire has officially launched VertiCool II Pro (SP601S0-2) CPU cooler. Compatible with Intel (socket 775) and AMD (sockets AM2/AM3) processors, this cooler features two 8-mm copper heat-pipes, 45 aluminum fins, copper base and a UV-reactant 80-mm fan (speed of 2,400 rpm and noise level of 19 dBA). VertiCool II Pro is available now, but Spire didn’t say its price.

Scythe Launches Katana 3 CPU Cooler

Scythe has just unveiled Katana 3 CPU cooler (SCKTN-3000). Compatible with Intel (sockets 478, LGA 775 and LGA 1366) and AMD (sockets 754, 939, 940, AM2, AM2+ and AM3) processors, this cooler measures 3.70” x 4.25” x 5.63” (9.4 cm x 10.8 cm x 14.3 cm), weights 15.98 oz (495 g), has six copper heatpipes, a nickel-platted copper base and a 92-mm fan with speed controlled via PWM between 300 rpm and 2,500 rpm, producing a maximum noise level of 31.07 dBA. Microsoft Releases Notebook Cooler

Microsoft has increased its accessories line with the launch of a notebook cooler. Available in black and white, this cooler has a central fan, is 1.16" (3 cm) thick, is powered via a USB port (thus no batteries or power adapters are necessary), has a cable management clip and will reach the market in July costing USD 29.95.

In addition to the cooler, Microsoft has also announced that later this month it will release the Arc Mouse in four special edition colors - deep olive green, marine blue, eggplant purple and frost white (priced at USD 49.95).
