Arctic Announces the Alpine 20 PLUS CO CPU Cooler

Category: Cooling
More Info: http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/cpu/640/alpine-20-plus-co.html
Cooling

Arctic has just announced the Alpine 20 PLUS CO, a low profile CPU cooler dedicated to Intel LGA-2011 socket. It uses a high quality dual ball bearing from Japan to offer a lifespan up to 5 times longer than common sleeve bearing types. This low profile yet long-lasting CPU cooler is no doubt an excellent cooling solution for entry level servers.

Equipped with a 92 mm PWM fan with low noise impeller, the Alpine 20 PLUS CO offers a decent boost of cooling performance and lowers the noise level significantly compared to the box cooler. Thanks to the PWM control, it adjusts the fan speed according to the CPU temperature and thus the noise is always maintained at an absolute minimum.

The pre-installed spring-loaded screws guarantee hassle-free setup and ensure optimized contact pressure. It also comes with the pre-applied MX-4 thermal compound which enhances the heat dissipation from the CPU.

The Alpine 20 PLUS CO CPU cooler is priced at US$ 17.90.

Thermaltake Launches NiC Series CPU Coolers
Author: Cássio Lima Date: March 8, 2013 - 1:44 PM PST
Category: Cooling
More Info: http://www.thermaltake.com/content.aspx?id=3679
Cooling

Thermaltake is rolling out its brand new NiC series of CPU coolers. Unlike traditional tower coolers, the new NiC series coolers solve the problem where high performance RAM and CPU coolers could not co-exist in the past. It achieves the best RAM clearance allowing users to install high end overclocking RAM with ease.

The NiC lineup consists of the F3, F4, C4, and C5 models, with TDP ratings of 160 W, 180 W, 200 W and 230 W, respectively. Heat is conducted from the CPU onto the cooler through the thick nickel-coated copper base and then onto the aluminum fins with U-shaped heat-pipes. This ensures the best possible heat dissipation. Furthermore, users can opt for something smaller and cooled with a single 120 mm fan, or go for coolers that have shrouds to contain the air flow, or go with a pair of 120 mm fans to allow for the best performance of both selections of the NiC series line.

Single 120 mm PWM fan (F3), dual 120 mm PWM fans (F4) with automatically adjustable silent fan blades at a range of 800-1,600
rpm; or both VR fans (C4/C5) are attached to an adjustable fan speed knob where the speed of the fan(s) can be manually adjusted from 1,000-2,000 rpm. The convenient tool-less fan clip design makes installation a breeze.

No word on pricing.
