| Category: Cooling |
| More Info: http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products/pc-accessory/Kaze-Master-Pro-Ace.... |
Japanese cooling expert Scythe has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of the Kaze Master Pro Ace fan controller. The built-in technology is based on the already announced Kaze Master Pro 5.25 fan controller, which now comes with an aluminum front panel design. The new Kaze Master Pro Ace fan controller allows users to adjust the fan speeds of up to six fans separately as well as monitoring up to eight temperature sensors. Adjustments of fan speeds are made using the six potentiometers located in the lower part of the aluminum front panel. By using the other two potentiometers located on the sides, it is possible to choose two of the six channels to be displayed on the built-in VF-Display (Vacuum Fluorescent Display). The display informs the user about fan rotation and temperature, as well as the number of the chosen fans. Each fan channel can be separately regulated in a voltage regulation range between 3.7 V and 12 V. Users are able to monitor the actual fan speed on the VF-Display in 30 rpm steps up to the maximum fan speed of 9,990 rpm. Temperature values can be displayed both in degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit. Kaze Master Pro Ace is able to measure temperatures in the ranges of 0 °C to 100 °C or 32 °F to 199.9 °F. The Kaze Master Pro Ace is equipped with a small speaker used for warning the user in case an error is detected by the system. Scythe Kaze Master Pro Ace fan controller (Model No. KM04-BK) is available only in black. Information on pricing was not revealed. click to enlarge

Cooler Master also displayed its future CPU coolers during this CES. Let’s see what is coming from this manufacturer. The X6 Elite will have eight U-shaped heatpipes, a copper base, and aluminum fins. The base is slightly dislocated, meaning that it isn’t placed exactly at the center of the cooler. The fins have a honeycomb structure that work as air tunnels. This cooler will be released this year with a suggested price of around USD 50. click to enlarge

The TPC812 promises to provide high performance, thanks to its two vertical vapor chambers. Vapor chambers use a technology similar to heatpipes, but are flat instead of cylindrical. In fact, this is the first CPU cooler we’ve seen using this configuration. Additionally, the TPC812 will have eight U-shaped, nickel-plated heatpipes. The base is made of copper, while the fins are made of aluminum. Cooler Master was demonstrating the performance of this cooler against the Corsair H80, which is a liquid cooling solution, and both are achieving similar performance. (As a matter of fact, the TPC812 was two degrees Celsius cooler.) The TPC812 is expected to reach the market in the second quarter of this year with a suggested price of USD 70. click to enlarge

Thermaltake also released a new series of liquid cooling solution, the Water 2.0, which is comprised of three models: Performer, Pro and Extreme. They are sealed products, meaning the cooler comes pre-assembled and all you need to do is to install it, just like you would install a regular air cooler. The Performer and Pro feature a 120 mm fan. The main difference between the two is the size of the radiator. The Extreme model, on the other hand, has two 120 mm fans and a 240 mm radiator. click to enlarge
