Thecus has expanded its NAS (Network Attached Storage) device line-up with the launch of N4200. This new model allows the installation of up to four 2.5” or 3.5” SATA-300 hard disk drives (8 TB max), supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD, features six USB 2.0 ports, two eSATA ports, 1 GB DDR2 RAM, a PCI Express x1 slot, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, wireless networking 802.11 b/g and two LCD displays where you can monitor/configure the status of the unit. N4200 is equipped with two Intel Atom D510 processors (1.66 GHz). No word on pricing and availability.

Team Group Launches USB/eSATA Memory Flash

Team Group has launched a memory flash equipped with USB 2.0 and eSATA connectors. Called X092, it is available in 16 GB, 32 GB and 128 GB capacities and makes use of a four-channel architecture that allows read and write speeds of 110 MB/s and 40 MB/s, respectively. No word on pricing.

A-Data Intros Flash Drive with USB 3.0 and SATA-300 Connections

A-DATA has just launched a flash drive (that looks like a SSD drive, by the way) equipped with SATA-300 and USB 3.0 connections. N002 is available in 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB and makes use of a 8-channel architecture which enable the drive to deliver read and write speeds of up to 200 MB/s and 170 MB/s, respectively. N002 flash drive will reach the market next month, but its price has not been disclosed.

DFI Releases Atom N450-equipped mini-ITX Motherboard

DFI launched today LR100-N16M a mini-ITX motherboard equipped with Intel Atom N450 processor (1.67 GHz, 45-nm, FSB of 667 MHz and TDP of 5.5 W). This board features integrated video (GMA 3150 engine), two SO-DIMM DDR2-667 (2 GB max) sockets, three SATA-300 ports, one PCI slot, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, four serial ports, 10 USB 2.0 ports (four on the rear panel and six available thru adapters), one CompactFlash socket and 5.1 audio. LR100-N16M motherboard is ideal for industrial control automation, point of sales and kiosk. No word on pricing and availability.

Cooler Master Launches USP 100 Mid-Tower Case

Cooler Master has just released its newest gaming mid-tower case, USP 100 (RC-P100-RKR1). Built-up in steel with frontal panel in plastic, this new Cooler Master case features four 5 ¼” bays, one 3 ½” external bay, four 3 ½” internal bays, seven slots for expansion cards, tool-less mechanism for drives installation, hole for accessing the backplate from the CPU cooler on the motherboard tray and meshed cover bays. As for cooling, this case comes with a 120-mm frontal fan with LED (1,200 rpm, 19 dBA) and supports installation of 80/90/120-mm optional fans on the bottom, rear and side panels. This case also comes with an Extreme Power Plus power supply installed (500 W, minumum efficiency of 70% and a 120-mm fan). Cooler Master USP 100 will reach the market in Q1 2010 with a suggested price of USD 99.

NZXT Unveils Hades Mid-Tower Case

NZXT has just brought to the market its newest gaming mid-tower case, Hades. Built-up in steel with frontal panel in plastic, this new NZXT case features nine 5 ¼” bays, four 3 ½” bays, seven slots for expansion cards, watercooling support, a bracket for installing two 2 ½” SSDs, support to video cards with 30 cm (11 1/2") in length (Radeon HD 5980, for example), hole for accessing the backplate from the CPU cooler on the motherboard tray, holes for routing cables on the motherboard tray, meshed cover bays and air filter on the bottom panel. As for cooling, this case comes with a 200-mm frontal fan (with LED), a 120-mm rear fan, a 200-mm side fan and a 140-mm top fan (place for one more 120/140-mm fan on the top panel). NZXT Hades case has a suggested price of USD 89.99.

Intel Announces Atom “Pine Trail” Platform

CPU Intel has just announced the launch of Atom “Pine Trail” platform, comprised with the newest Atom processors featuring built-in memory controller and integrated video and with the new NM10 chipset. Three processors were launched: N450 (single-core, 45 nm, 1.66 GHz and TDP of 7 W), D410 (single-core, 45 nm, 1.66 GHz and TDP of 12 W) and D510 (dual-core, 45 nm, 1.66 GHz and TDP of 15 W). According to Intel these new Atom processors are 20% more power efficient than the previous Atom platform. Notebooks based on Intel “Pine Trail” platform are expected to debut on January 4th.

New Wing 12 PL Case Fans from Gelid

Gelid has launched two 120-mm case fans (called Wing 12 PL) featuring a blue or green LED and with speed ranging from 600 rpm to 1,800 rpm (via PWM) producing a maximum noise level of 26.8 dBA. Wing 12 PL fans feature a patented Nanoflux bearing (NFB), which expands fans’ lifespan and reduces noise level. These fans are priced at USD 19.

EVGA Launches External Overclocking Controller

EVGA has presented an external overclocking controller called EVBot specially designed to be used with some of their products. With this device it is possible to change and monitor several overclocking options (like processor voltage and clock, temperature etc) on-the-fly without entering the BIOS Setup. EVBot doesn't require any software and can be connected to a maximum of four EVGA products. Below you can see a list of EVGA cards compatible with EVBot.

MSI Releases Radeon HD 5770 with Over Voltage Function

MSI has just unveiled R5770-PMD1G, a video card based on Radeon HD 5770 GPU that comes with an over voltage function for GPU (1.300 V max), a neat feature that will certainly please overclockers. This card uses HD 5770 stock clocks (850 MHz for GPU and 4.8 GHz QDR for memory), has 1 GB GDDR5, a cooler equipped with a 80-mm fan with speed controlled via PWM and DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. No word on pricing yet.

Enermax Launches Two PSU Series

Enermax has just released two PSU series: PRO87+ and MODU87+. The only difference between them is that units from MODU87+ series feature a modular cabling system. Units from these new series are available in 500 W, 600 W, 700 W and 800 W models, have a 139-mm fan and make use of a DHT (Dynamic Hybrid Transformer) which enable them to have a efficiency of up to 92%. The PRO87+ and MODU87+ power supplies will reach the market by the end of this month. No word on pricing.
