Today, Lian Li announced a new brushed aluminum Mini-ITX case, the PC-Q30. With a curve-shaped design and large acrylic front window, the fully aluminum PC-Q30 allows users to show off their systems
Thanks to the two expansion slots on the top of the case, the PC-Q30 supports video cards up to 7.8” (200 mm). For storage, up to four 2.5” hard drives or SSDs can be mounted in the removable hard drive cage at the bottom of the case.
A 140mm fan in the rear of the case expels hot air, while ventilation on the top and side allows for cool air to enter. A small form factor power supply up to 4.9” (125 mm) is placed on rubber pads in order to reduce vibrations.
The front of the PC-Q30 is minimalistic in aesthetics and houses the dual LED illuminated power button that glows blue when on and red while loading. The I/O panel with two USB 3.0 ports and HD audio connections is located on the left side of the front of the chassis to not interrupt the elegant aesthetics.
The PC-Q30 will be available in June in the U.S. and Canada for the suggested retail price of US$ 149.
Arctic has just announced the Alpine 20 PLUS CO, a low profile CPU cooler dedicated to Intel LGA-2011 socket. It uses a high quality dual ball bearing from Japan to offer a lifespan up to 5 times longer than common sleeve bearing types. This low profile yet long-lasting CPU cooler is no doubt an excellent cooling solution for entry level servers.
Equipped with a 92 mm PWM fan with low noise impeller, the Alpine 20 PLUS CO offers a decent boost of cooling performance and lowers the noise level significantly compared to the box cooler. Thanks to the PWM control, it adjusts the fan speed according to the CPU temperature and thus the noise is always maintained at an absolute minimum.
The pre-installed spring-loaded screws guarantee hassle-free setup and ensure optimized contact pressure. It also comes with the pre-applied MX-4 thermal compound which enhances the heat dissipation from the CPU.
The Alpine 20 PLUS CO CPU cooler is priced at US$ 17.90.

Cooler Master has announced the entrance of the V Series Power Supply (PSU) line to North American markets.
Developed to be the highest quality, Cooler Master carefully sourced every aspect of the V Series PSU line to produce a high-efficiency and stable power supply. This operational stability includes being highly efficient even at low loads – far exceeding the parameters of the breadth of operational efficiency exhibited by a typical 80 Plus Gold PSU.
A single, powerful rail platform channels the full power of V Series PSUs with outstanding voltage stability, ripple suppression, and efficiency.
These higher quality components include the highest grade Japanese electrolyte and solid capacitors, a custom PCB interface, and high quality 42 mm transformers.
All of which are among a few of the integral parts that make the V Series a great power supply.
V Series PSUs include a 135 mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fan. This bearing type offers superior performance at lower noises while lasting far longer than the typical PSU fan. The real-world result is that V-series PSUs are extremely quiet, even under full load while still keeping cool.
When considering ease of use and ability to manage cables, fully modular flat ribbon cables are among the best. These give users the ability to compress and arrange their cables in clean and compact ways not possible with traditional and individually sleeved cabling - saving time and enabling builds with the best possible airflow.
It supports 4th Generation Intel Core Desktop Processor C6/C7 Power States allowing the processor to go from C0 (active) to C7 (Deep Power Down Mode) which helps provide maximum power savings.
The V Series will be available in 700 W, 850 W, and 1000 W models. Price and availability may vary based on region. This release is meant for the U.S. and Canada regions only.
Cables and wires amount to sheer havoc once accumulated to multitudes that may trip or strangle people. It’s also frustrating when one constantly needs to search through heaps of tangled cables in order to swap to different devices that share the same monitor. Well, the good news is, from now on with ASRock’s A-Style: HDMI-In, you may connect both your monitor and secondary device to your motherboard, and then toggle between the computer’s screen and the secondary device’s screen with a hotkey.
HDMI-In can be applied to any device with an HDMI output, such as laptops, smartphones, handheld game consoles, and video game consoles. Plus, it works even if your computer is powered off. Hence, no more cable unplugging and plugging is required. Moreover, you won’t need to deal with that murderous mass of wires lying behind your computer, or at least not yet.
