Zotac has announced a GeForce GTX 550 Ti video card equipped with two DVI, two HDMI, and one DisplayPort video outputs. This configuration allows users to install up to three monitors.

The GeForce GTX 550 Ti Multiview runs at the default clocks (900 MHz for GPU and 4,100 MHz for memory), has 1 GB of GDDR5 memory accessed through a 192-bit interface, and makes use of a dual-slot cooler.

Biostar Announces Motherboards for AMD Llano APUs

Next month, AMD is going to launch their first desktop APUs (Accelerated Processing Units) manufactured in 32 nm technology. These new APUs will be part of the AMD A-Series (codename Llano) and will feature a new socket, dubbed FM1.

APUs (Accelerated Processing Units) are AMD processors that have a CPU, a GPU, and a north bridge (including a memory controller) in the same die. They’re also known as Fusion processors.

In spite of still being a few weeks away from the official launch of AMD A-Series APUs, Biostar has already announced their first FM1 motherboards, which include three models: TA75A+, TA75M+, and TA75M. All of them are equipped with the upcoming Hudson D3 chipset, four DDR3 memory sockets, six SATA-600 ports, four USB 3.0 ports, 7.1 channel audio, one (TA75M) or two (TA75A+, TA75M+) PCI Express x16 slots, and HDMI, DVI and VGA outputs.

Panasonic announced its plans to launch an enterprise-grade, Toughbook-branded tablet to the market. This tablet is a heavy-duty product, ideal for users who work in extreme environments. It features a 10.1-inch (1024 x 768) high brightness, touchscreen display, a built-in GPS, and optional 3G/4G connectivity. The Panasonic Toughbook Tablet runs the Android operating system.

Inno3D Announces iChill CPU Cooler Series

Inno3D has announced their iChill family of CPU coolers, which is comprised of three models: iChill X5, iChill XXX and iChill Storm. All of them are compatible with Intel (sockets 775/1155/1156) and AMD (sockets AM3/AM2+) processors and feature a fan with fluid dynamic bearing.

The iChill X5 measures 6.22 x 4.88 x 3.22 inches (158 x 124 x 82 mm), weighs 1.77 lbs (804 g), has a 120 mm fan (800 rpm to 1,500 rpm, 38 cfm, 29 dBA max.), five copper heatpipes, and 57 aluminum fins.

The iChill XXX measures 5 x 4.33 x 3.42 inches (127 x 110 x 87 mm), weighs 1.22 lbs (556 g), has a 90 mm fan (900 rpm to 2,000 rpm, 35 cfm, 29 dBA max.), six copper heatpipes, and 53 aluminum fins.

The iChill Storm measures 4.72 x 3.7 x 2.28 inches (127 x 110 x 87 mm), weighs 0.9 lbs (410 g), has a 90 mm fan (2,500 rpm, 40 cfm, 19 dBA max.), and a 4-way aluminum heatspreader.

A-Data announced the S511 family of solid state drives, which is comprised of 60 GB, 120 GB, 240 GB, and 480 GB models. AMD Launches A-Series APUs

Today AMD officially launched their A-Series line of APUs (codenamed “Llano”) targeted for both notebooks and desktops systems. APUs or Accelerated Processing Units are processors that have a CPU, a GPU, and a north bridge (including a memory controller) in the same die.

A-Series APUs are built in a 32-nm process, features a DirectX 11 GPU, a DDR3 memory controller, are compatible with the FM1 socket, and support Turbo Core technology (on select models). According to AMD, over 150 notebooks and desktops will sport A-Series APUs throughout the second quarter of 2011 and beyond.

Patriot has launched the G2 Series, AMD Black Edition memory kits specially designed for the upcoming AMD’s FX processors based on the Bulldozer architecture. This new series consists of two dual-channel DDR3 memory kits with 4 GB or 8 GB capacities running at 1,333 MHz (7-7-7-20 or 9-9-9-24 timings) and 1,600 MHz (8-9-8-24 or 9-9-9-24 timings).

The G2 AMD Black Edition will become available this month. Patriot did not reveal the product’s price.

Today, Lian Li launched two brand new, all-aluminum computer cases: PC-C60 and PC-6. While the former is targeted to HTPC systems, the latter is a mid-tower model.

The PC-C60 supports ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards, and is available in black or silver. It features two 5.25” external bays, six 3.5” internal bays, three 2.5” internal bays, seven slots for expansion cards, and three 140 mm fans, one on the top panel and two on the front panel. The PC-C60 also has two USB 3.0 ports and one eSATA port.

Samsung Launches 1 TB Spinpoint M8 Hard Drive

Samsung has launched the Spinpoint M8, a 2.5-inch internal hard drive that provides users with 1 TB of storage space. It is not the first 1 TB 2.5-inch hard drive from Samsung. Last year, the company launched the Spinpoint MT2, a 1 TB 2.5-inch hard drive that had three 333 GB platters and a height of 12.5 mm.

The new Spinpoint M8 is thinner than the Spinpoint MT2 (9.5 mm vs. 12.5 mm) because it uses two 500 GB platters. It has SATA-300 interface, 8 MB of cache, and spins at 5,400 rpm.

The 1 TB Spinpoint M8 has a suggested price of USD 129.00.

The company, be quiet!, has expanded their power supply line-up with the introduction of two brand new series: Pure Power CM and Efficient Power.

Pure Power CM units are available in 300 W, 350 W, 430 W, 530 W, 630 W, 730 W models, feature a modular cabling system (only 430 W, 530 W, 630 W, and 730 W models), two +12 V rails, a 120 mm fan, and 80 Plus Bronze certification.

Pure Power units still have 80 Plus Standard certification with no cable management, but 620 W and 720 W models are no longer available.

ASUS Launches ROG Matrix GTX 580 Video Card

ASUS has launched the ROG Matrix GTX 580, a factory-overclocked video card based on the GeForce GTX 580 GPU. This video card works internally at 816 MHz (5.7% above the stock clock of 772 MHz) and accesses its 1.5 GB of GDDR5 memory at 4,008 MHz through a 384-bit interface.

AMD Reintroduces the FX Brand

The FX brand was first introduced with the Athlon 64 FX back in September 2003. It was used to indicate processors with clock multiplier unlocked. The company dropped the FX brand for its CPUs in 2007.

Today, AMD announced that it will be reintroducing the FX brand that will be used in their first processors based on the Bulldozer microarchitecture (codename Zambezi) due out later this year (August or September).
