OCZ introduces the second certified member of the ATI CrossFire DDR2 series. The new PC2-6400 delivers 800MHz speeds at 4-4-4 timings and 2.1 volts. It features an ATI special XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreader displaying ATI's "Certified" logo.

According to OCZ, the new model was tested under ATI's certification program to offers high standard of quality and superior compatibly with CrossFire technology. It is available in 1 GB modules and 2GB kits.

NVidia Intros the 80 nm GeForce Go 7700

NVidia announced new GeForce Go 7700, first graphics chip made using 80 nm Process tech. It  supports up to 512 MB memory at 1 GHz clock-speed. GeForce Go 7700 is very similar to the Go 7600 (90 nm), but with some performance differences. According to NVidias's website, the Go 7700 is a little bit faster than the Go 7600 model.

The new chip will be used by ASUS's 8Js notebook, which features Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7200/T7400/T7600/T5500/T5600, 14.1" LCD display, DDRII 667 MHz (up to 2 GB), built-in 0.35 megapixel webcam, 80/100/120GB 5400rpm SATA hard drive, 1x DVI, 1x IEEE1394, 1x Express Card, 1x VGA, 1x TV-Out, 5x USB, 1x Card Reader, 802.11a/b/g, 10/100/1000 Ethernet and Bluetooth connectivity.

Dell Rolls Out AMD Desktops

The Dell Corporation confirms it is producing desktops with AMD chips. The new desktop Dimension E521 can have a  AMD Sempron, AMD Athlon 64 or AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor options. Prices start at USD 329.

Dimension C521 includes a AMD Sempron, AMD Athlon 64 or AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor options, but is half the size of the Dimension E521. Prices start at USD 359.

Via Technologies unveils the World’s First Carbon Free Processor. The VIA C7-D has a maximum power consumption of just 20W. The initial offsets for the processor are being done in cooperation with Carbon Footprint Ltd.Designed in the low profile nanoBGA2 package measuring just 21mm x 21 mm. Available at speeds of 1.5 GHz and 1.8 GHz.

As part of the platform, the VIA CN700 Digital Media chipset supports dual monitor output with DuoView+, rich 6-channel audio and DDR2 400/533MHz memory.

Apple Unveils the New iPod Line

Apple unveils the new iPod line. The Nano player now features five colors, a brighter display, 24 hours of battery life, and comes in 2 GB (USD 149), 4 GB (USD 199) and 8 GB (USD 249).

The redesigned iPod Shuffle claims to be the world’s smallest digital music player with 1.62 inches. It has 1 GB and costs USD 79.

The iPod Video doesn't come with a widescreen display, as was expected. But now it features a brighter screen, 3.5 hours of battery life during video playback and new headphones. Some good news: Apple has dropped its price. Now you can get a 30 GB iPod for USD 250 (was UsD 299 before); and the new 80 GB for USD 350.

ASUSTeK Intros a LightScribe DVD-RW

ASUSTeK Computer introduces the DRW-1612BL internal DVD rewriter, that features 16X DVD-R, 6X DVD-RW, 16X DVD+R, 8X DVD+RW, 8X DVD±R (double layer), 16X DVD-ROM, 12X DVD-RAM, 48X CD-Write, 32X CD-RW and 48X CD-ROM.

The new model also incorporates LightScribe's HP technology, which enables images to be burnt onto disc surfaces as labels using the same drive that wrote in the data. When data writing is completed, you just need to turn over the disc. It will be available in Taiwan later this month.

OCZ has added a new DDR2-800 model to its Platinum series. The PC2-6400 has 4-4-4-15 latencies and operates at 2.2 volts. The new model is optimized to work with DFI's LANParty NF590 SLI-M2R motherboard. It's available in 1 GB modules and 2 GB kits.

Samsung Unveils 32 Gb NAND Flash

Samsung unnounces a new memory device technology that will allow a faster access to electronic devices. The 40nm NAND flash chips wil improve memory performance and enable higher scalability, which can improve manufacturing process technology from 40 nm to 20nm.The new 32 Gigabit (Gb) NAND flash device is the first memory to incorporate a Charge Trap Flash (CTF) architecture, that reduces inter-cell noise levels.

The 32Gb NAND flash memory can be used in memory cards with densities of up to 64-Gigabytes (GBs). One 64GB card can store over 64 hours of DVD resolution movies (40 movies) or 16,000 MP3 music files (1,340 hours). It will be available in 2008.

OCZ has just announced ist first certified ATI CrossFire's memory, the new OCZ PC2-5400 DDR2. According to the manufacturer, it was co-developed with ATI, and because of that, can offers a better performance for gamers. It will be sold in 2 GB dual channel kits (2 x 1024 MB), able to runs up to 667 MHz at 4-4-4 timing.

Albatron has released a VGA card based in the latest nForce 500 series mainboards. The new Albatron 7900GS has a frequency of 450 MHz, 256 MB GDDR3 memory with a 256-bit memory bus and includes 20 pipelines. It contains a DVI connector and a Dual Link DVI connector. Suggested price: USD 395. And you can have a full Toca Race Driver 3 with a USD 30 value.

RIM Unveils Blackberry Pearl

Manufacturer RIM launches a new Blackberry handheld. Called Pearl, it claims to be one of the smallest and lightest smartphones in the world. It comes with a 1.3 megapixel digital camera, multimedia capabilities (such as maps, step-by-step driving directions and a media player and stereo headset), 64 MB flash memory (with an expandable MicroSD memory slot).

BlackBerry Pearl is a quad-band GSM/GPRS and it also features a synchronized access to email accounts with attachment viewing and the ability to manage multiple accounts while on the go.

It will be available from T-Mobile USA in the United States on September 12. In Canada and Europe, it will be released in October. Price comes from USD 199.99 to USD 299.99.

AMD Launches Athlon 64 X2 5200+

AMD rolls out a new Athlon 64 X2 5200+ processor for AM2 platforms, with 2.6GHz clock speed.  It is very similar to the previous socket 939 Athlon 64 FX-60, but with the 2 x 1 MB L2 cache configuration for better performance in cache applications. On the other hand, FX-60 has a 2 x 512 KB L2 cache configuration. Price for distributors: USD 403 per 1,000.

Athlon 64 FX-62, which runs at 2.8 GHz clock speed and has a 2 x 1 MB L2 cache configuration, is still the most powerfull processor from Atlhon 64 family.
