Panasonic released the new Toughbook CF-30 notebook, which features 13.3-inch XGA touchscreen, 1.66 GHz L2400 Core Duo processor and slot for extra battery or disc drive. The Toughbook family has long used anti-glare and anti-reflective screen coatings, and now it offers 1,000 Nit (candelas per square meter, a measure of brightness). Manufacturer guarantees that the new CF-30 is twice as bright as most rugged notebooks.
The laptop weighs 8.2 pounds and delivers a battery life of more than 6 hours (depending on conditions of usage). It comes with a magnesium alloy cases, sealed keyboards, ports and hard drives which make it drop-kick ready. Priced at USD 4,700.

Dell has announced a LCD widescreen flat-panel monitor with 20.1-inch at a very attractive USD 289 price. With a 5 ms response time, the E207WFP features DVI connector with HDCP and resolution of 1,680 x 1,050 (SXGA+). On the other hand, it doesn't have USB hub, composite and S-Video inputs. The E207WFP will be available for sale on Dell's website on October 17th.

Nvidia has released the new GeForce Go 7950 GTX, which claims to be the world's fastest notebook GPU on the market. It runs at 575 MHz and its memory clock has improved to 1.4 GHz. It has a 256 bit memory interface and a memory bandwith of 44.8 GB/s. The Go 7950 GTXIt also features 24 pixel shaders. The new GeForce GPU can be found in the new Dell XPS M1710 notebook.

The first 50 GB Blu-Ray disc will be available to consumers on Tuesday, when Sony Pictures releases the Adam Sandler comedy "Click". 50 GB is twice the capacity of a regular Blu-Ray media. The dual-layer disc promises to deliver the interactivity and extras in high-definition optical-disc and uncompressed PCM (pulse code modulation) audio.
"Click" is one of three 50GB Blu-ray Discs in the studio's pipeline. The others are Ridley Scott's "Black Hawk Down," coming November 14, and "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby," due December 12.

D-Link enters the mobile phone market with a great announcement: a cell-phone that can switch between cellular and Wi-Fi networks, with a tri-band GSM and a 802.11 Wi-Fi access, that allows users to take advantage of VOiP.
