Thermaltake Announces Spacecraft VF-I Mid-Tower Case

Thermaltake has just launched their newest mid-tower case, the Spacecraft VF-I. The product is painted in black (even the interior), has a transparent side window, features four 5.25” external bays, one 3.5” external bay, five 3.5” internal bays, one 2.5” internal bay, seven slots for expansion cards, one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, and holes through which to pass liquid cooling tubes.

For cooling, the Spacecraft VF-I is equipped with one 120 mm fan (blue LED, 1,000 rpm, 16 dBA max) on the rear panel, but it supports five optional fans.

The Spacecraft VF-I supports video cards up to 12.6” (320 mm) long and CPU coolers up to 6.1” (168 mm) tall.

MSI Announces A75A-G55 Socket FM1 Motherboard

MSI has released another motherboard based on the AMD A75 chipset for the new AMD A-Series of CPUs with integrated graphics chip (“APUs”), the A75A-G55. This ATX, socket FM1 motherboard features two PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots, three PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots, two PCI standard slots, four DDR3 memory sockets, two USB 3.0 ports, six SATA-600 ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port, 7.1 channel audio, and VGA, DVI and HDMI video outputs.  MSI’s motherboard also comes with military-class components, such as Hi-c capacitors and solid ferrite-core coils, also known as SFC, Super Ferrite Choke, which, according to MSI, can provide up to a 20% improvement in efficiency, and the OC Genie II overclocking button.

New Socket FM1 Motherboards from ECS

ECS has expanded their socket FM1 motherboard line-up with the launch of three models: A55F-A, A55F-M2 and A55F-M3. All of them are based on the AMD A55 chipset, support AMD's A-Series APUs, and comes with SATA-600 ports.

Below we’ve listed the main specs for these new boards.

  • A55F-A (ATX): Four DDR3 sockets, five SATA-600 ports, 12 USB 2.0 ports, one PCI Express x16 slot, and HDMI, DVI and VGA outputs
  • A55F-M2 (microATX): Two DDR3 sockets, six SATA-600 ports, 12 USB 2.0 ports, one PCI Express x16 slot, and HDMI, DVI (optional) and VGA outputs

AMD, a well-known CPU and GPU manufacturer, has decided to enter the market of memory modules. The company has started to sell DDR3 memory models under the Radeon brand. AMD offers three series of Radeon memory modules: Entertainment (1333 MHz, CL9-9-9), UltraPro Gaming (1600 MHz, CL11-11-11) and Enterprise (specs to be determined). Initially, the company is shipping only 2 GB memory modules.

Gigabyte has announced that their entire range of 6 series motherboards (Z68, P67, H67 and H61 boards) are ready to support the upcoming Intel 22 nm CPUs (codename “Ivy Bridge”) as well as offer native support for PCI Express 3.0. Gigabyte Unleashes G1.Sniper 2 Gaming Motherboard

Gigabyte has launched their first motherboard to support PCI Express 3.0 slots, the G1.Sniper 2, which is the latest member in their G1-Killer series of motherboards designed for extreme gaming.

The G1.Sniper 2 motherboard is based on the Intel Z68 chipset and supports LGA1155 processors, including the upcoming 22 nm "Ivy Bridge" chips. The first G1.Sniper was a LGA1366 motherboard based on the Intel X58 chipset.

Gigabyte's G1.Sniper 2 motherboard features four DDR3-2133 memory sockets, two PCI Express 3.0 slots, two standard PCI slots, four SATA-600 ports, three SATA-300 ports, one eSATA-300 port, four USB 3.0 ports, 14 USB 2.0 ports, an 8-phase voltage regulator circuit, a Bigfoot Networks Killer E2100 network controller, a Creative CA20K2 audio processor (7.1 channel audio), and an HDMI output. It also supports LucidLogix's Virtu GPU virtualization technology.

Sapphire has expanded their TOXIC line-up with the launch of the factory-overclocked Radeon HD 6950 Toxic Edition video card. This card works internally at 880 MHz (10% above the stock clock of 800 MHz), has 2 GB of GDDR5 memory running at 5.2 GHz QDR (4% above the stock clock of 5 GHz QDR) through a 256-bit interface, features two DVI, one HDMI, and two mini DisplayPort connectors, a digital voltage regulator circuit, and two BIOS chip.

HighPoint has launched an expansion card for those users interested in expanding the number of USB 3.0 ports provided by their motherboards. The RocketU 1144A is a PCI Express 2.0 x4 expansion card that offers four additional USB 3.0 ports. Each port delivers a maximum transfer rate of 5 Gbps, for a combined bandwidth up to 20 Gbps.

Zotac, in partnership with CoolIT, has developed a factory-overclock GeForce GTX 580 video card equipped with a liquid cooling solution.

The Zotac GeForce GTX 580 Infinity Edition runs at 815 MHz (5.57% above the stock clock of 772 MHz), has 1,536 MB of GDDR5 memory working at 4,100 MHz (2.30% above the stock clock of 4,008 MHz), and comes with DVI and mini HDMI video outputs. It features CoolIT's Omni self-contained liquid cooling system.

Cooler Master has just introduced the Hyper 612 PWM CPU cooler. According to the manufacturers, this cooler “outperforms all-in-one liquid coolers and high-priced counterparts alike while maintaining minimal noise levels.”

The Hyper 612 PWM is compatible with Intel (sockets 775, 1156, 1155 and 1366) and AMD (sockets AM2, AM2+, and AM3) processors, features a copper base, six copper heatpipes, aluminum fins, and a 120 mm sleeve bearing fan that spins between 600 and 2,000 rpm (9 - 36 dBA noise level). Thermaltake has just announced the second-generation of their Dr. Power power supply tester, a product ideal for users wanting to test and diagnose the power supply’s condition before damage occurs.

The Dr. Power II supports every ATX power supply available today up to ATX12V v2.3 and tests every power supply output (SATA, PCI-Express, peripheral, floppy and CPU connector). It comes with an LCD display that shows the value of each specific power rail, and a built-in alarm system, which warns users for possible problems.

The Dr. Power II will become available this month, but its price wasn’t revealed.

Kingston Unveils HyperX SSD Series

Kingston has introduced their first SATA-600 SSD drives, the HyperX series. These drives are available in 120 GB and 240 GB versions, come in a 2.5” form factor, support TRIM, feature a SandForce SF-2281 controller, 25-nm MLC memory chips, and provide maximum read and write speeds of up to 555 MB/s and 510 MB/s, respectively.

Kingston HyperX drives are available as stand-alone products (USD 269.99 for the 120 GB model, and USD 519.99 for the 240 GB model) or as part of a HyperX Upgrade Kit (USD 284.99 for the 120 GB model, USD 539.99 for the 240 GB model). The HyperX Upgrade Kit includes the Acronis True Image HD migration software, an adapter to allow you to install the unit on a 3.5”  hard disk drive bay, a USB external drive bay, a multi-head screwdriver, and a SATA data cable.

We’ve seen this product at Computex 2011 as a prototype, but today ASUS makes its official debut. The Eee Pad Slider is a tablet that features a “hidden” physical keyboard underneath it, which can be slid out to be used for typing. This model is based on NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor, has a 1280x800 touchscreen display, a 1.2 Mpixels camera on the front-facing, a 5 Mpixels camera on the back-facing, and USB, mini HDMI, and MicroSD ports. It runs the Google’s Android 3.1 operating system.

Thermaltake has just introduced a white version of their Level 10 GT full-tower computer case. Like the all-black version, the new Level 10 GT Snow Edition features four 5.25” external bays, one 3.5” external bay, five 3.5” internal bays, eight slots for expansion cards, two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, one eSATA port, a 200 mm fan on the front panel, a 140 mm fan on the rear panel, a 200 mm fan on the top panel, and a 200 mm fan on the side panel.

The Level 10 GT Snow Edition will be available soon, but Thermaltake did not reveal its price. The Level 10 GT original costs USD 280.
